Just got a call from the Lakeside Resort.

They have given us one more week to hold our reservation block. The hotel is sold out except for the rooms we have remaining. I will try to get the ending time extended, but with the auction and the Elvis festival happening at the same time, they have a looooonnnnnng waiting list.

If anyone else is thinking of coming for the Beach Cruise AND wants to stay at the Lakeside, the time to act is NOW.

Booked yesterday, so we are good to go. Now the hard part...... waiting for June to get here.

Talked to Zia's today - they are good to go.

I'll start a new thread to see how many will make it for Thursday night. I'm thinking an hour later to give the Alberta contingent more time to roll in.

Hopefully any NW SSR's who are sitting on the fence will sign on for a fabulous adventure in Penticton. Ray mentions some of the great car clubs entered from Montana, Washington and Oregon - new this year - and the registrations are up a lot from last year !! Wish I could be with you but at least I can encourage you to attend this wonderful event in Penticton, BC. Your host, Ray (Flaash) is the best and has planned a great number of things to see or participate in !!

This is well worth attending - a memory that will last forever !!!

I noticed something funny as I was just looking around the PCBC website. If you look back to 2006, as you know Tom and Karen came second in the Millenium Class (there was no SSR Class yet) and they won that with a 2000 SSR I'd like to see that Tom

Kinda figured you couldn't miss a good party.

I guess I didn't talk about the Saturday dinner much, but I think pretty much everyone has purchased the meal tickets. I thought we'd go in and eat early, then head out for an evening cruise similar to last year's.

If you decide to take in the dinner, I'll add the info and get you to mail be a cheque for it made out to PCBC.

I think the Friday Winery Poker Run and Saturday night cruise both were pretty enjoyable. We'll fine tune it so we're ready for 2010.

Checking to see if there are any last minute additions.

We're still on for Thursday night at Zia's - let me know if your schedule gets you here on time. 10 people so far.

Registration will go from 8 AM Friday.

Wine Cruise and poker run in the afternoon.

I'm hoping everyone will take in the parade Friday night. Only one change from last year. In order to keep the group running together, they don't want the SSRs stopping to put roofs up or down until they reach the downtown area where the speed will slow to a crawl and go two lanes wide.

See you all during the poker run, or in the park after 6 PM Friday night. We're Ok to stay in the park overnight, with security.

NAME TAGS - I will make nametags for the new Fanatics. Does anyone else need nametags?

I have a B&B in Clearwater and my wife is going to Peru on Tuesday. So I have to hold the fort down, but I'm trying to get my daughter to look after it for me. Anybody coming thru Clearwater give me a call and we can meet for a coffee at the Cabbose.

PM me or call me at 250-490-7676 if you think you can make it. You can register Friday or Saturday, but if you know ahead of time, I can print up a registration and have it ready for you to pick up.

The only time-critical part is dinner at the Lakeside Saturday. We have to confirm numbers Wednesday night. We'll have a few tickets for sale during day registration, but we'll likely run out by mid-day Friday.

We'll be parking together in Rotary Park, and heading out for an early evening cruise about 6 PM Saturday.
