We lost Ken & Rob to a faulty fan, and a few others to sickness (just the thought of getting their SSRs wet made them sick!), but the fearless NW group (with guests BlueStreak, Pasadena - Jim & Connie, RedlineOHIO) WOWed the overpacked bleachers with their high performance trucks !!
After the National Anthem and personal introduction of each SSR, the Ultra Violet Pace Car took us through the GREEN flag, three laps around the track to the CHECKERED FLAG !!! PERMAGRINS all over the place as we took our final lap to the ROAR OF THE CROWD !!!
I'm posting an assortment of photos with individual ones to be sent by email to all of you who participated, making this another great event for our Northwest FANTASTICS !!! Thanks !!

Final Celebration at the Tulalip Casino
Sunday night we finished the day and dined at the fabulous Tulalip Casino (designed by my best friend & from whose home on Mercer Island Dwight viewed the Blue Angels - we could almost reach out to touch them as they flew over the top of the chimneys). What a great end to a fast week !!
Good Wine, Good Food and GREAT FRIENDS !!!
We were able to help Sandy celebrate her 29th BIRTHDAY again !!)

Posting the photos of Thomas Vick, Official Race Track Photographer, who said he absolutely enjoyed the incredible positive passion of our Northwest SSR Group at the Evergreen Speedway.

And More of our Evergreen Speedway Event, 2010
and the GRANDEST Reward to make the Checkered Flag - (I don't think DRAGN2 would have made it as far and as STRAIGHT as we did - especially knowing it now has a 600 HP engine !!! BUT, the DRAGN2 would have been squirting and spitting it's positive enjoyment of this event had it's owners not been on the road to Sturgis two days earlier !!
Thanks for the Great Time together for all of you who ventured once again with me into the absolute unknown !! I so appreciate your TRUST, and by the way, the Porche following me around the track was my precious neighbor and WATCH DOG, Melinda DeBruler, whose husband was our incredible volunteer photographer !!

Thanks Sandy! I saw those pictures and my heart went pitty-pat!
I was wondering if you would think of me! Curious what the story is on the (Firechaser's) fire truck also???
Great pictures Sue. Looks like a lot of fun.
I am beginning to wonder if Dwight just has a CA mailing address and lives on the road!

FireChaser
Mark is a Manager for PSE by day, but in his other life, he is the Volunteer Fire Chief for a small town in the Enumclaw Area near Crystal Mountain. He also is a Volunteer Mentor and Teacher for young would-be Fire Fighters around our area. His wife Roberta quilts 3 hours each day after work to make specialized quilts for each Disabled Veteran going into Madigan Hospital for surgery.
FireChaser was always the front of the SSR parade in Penticton !!
With their incredible generosity, they are both at the head of MY PARADE !!!

Very nice. I was reading posts and noted they were at Penticton previously.
Also saw a post about possibly having the strobes working at some point and it appears from one picture that has happened. With the lights, working or not, I was sure the SSR had to be used in some professional capacity in a fire department to be legal.
As far as the Pace, I assume it uses 4 way flashers in its official duties with no special adornments or modifications?

Both the lights on Firechaser and a similar set of ambers on the pace truck, set on the rear of the bed cover, are held on with 4 magnets set on fabric disks. I suspect , but do not know for sure, they are powered from the power ports in the cab or bed. The pace truck also uses his 4way flashers.
On your other point, I do not live on the road. I live at home or in motels, but I love to drive my so I take advantage of nearly every opportunity. I am home again (safely) for a bit and lucky to have my son visiting before school starts.
