GONBYBY gets new shoes and socks

YEAH - finally my new wheels and tires arrived - not in time for the "Drive In" but they are on and looking good! I ordered them from Wheels Next - online - and when they arrived the first time there was a mistake in the off set on the rear wheels. I called them and explained the problem and sent them back for a replacement. When they arrived the second time they were just right! Wheels Next did everything they said they would and stood behind their exchange policy. Let me know what you think of my new shoes and socks!

Those are awesome!!!!. I'm a big fan of 5 spoke wheels, but not many of them do a good job of hiding a 6 bolt hub. Any closeups of the hub area to see how they did it?

The color coded inserts look great.

Very nice, the offset looks perfect for the truck which is hard to get right on many aftermarket rims.

Did you go with the same size wheels? Do they do other colors? How about a link to the area you chose your wheels from?

Jack - you are a skunk..... your wheels are awesome......

You know I just have to have some on my truck too - this wonderful Northwest groups is addictive - I am soooooooo weak when it comes to sensible ways to spend my money !!! Every new item I see on one of your trucks, finds its way to my $$RRRRR as well!!!

HMMMM - 2 Weeks on the beach on Maui OR NEW WHEELS????

I have often thought I would come back into this world as a Wheel Designer, as the incredible designer rims available today look so very much like many of my drawings & life-long doodles........ yikes, guess I will have to duct-tape my wallet shut!!!

Life is short - go ahead. I'm giving you permission.

I'm sure Jack would let you know who painted his spoke inserts. Sure would look good in pink.

Info on new wheels & tires

(1) Closeups soon, just waiting for the boss (she's not home yet)

(2) Tires, Toyo Proxes ST 255/40/20 front
stock front 28.035, Toyo 28.032.
295/40/20 rear
stock rear 29.291, Toyo 29.291.

(3) Wheels, Dvinci (brand name)
Attivo w/black insert (style)
20x8.5 6x127 35CH_O front
20x10 6x127 20CH_O rear

(4) Wheels Rims Tires Custom Chrome Black Polished Color Staggered Racing Hot Packages 14 16 18 20 22 24 26 Inches for Cars Trucks SUVs WheelsNext.com
Dvinci Attivo w/black insert
I had the inserts painted to match the SSR, wheels
can be all chrome by removing the inserts (like for bad
weather in the winter), this makes them easer to clean.
Keep the inserts with the wheels they come with, the
front are different from the rear. I know it took me an
hour to sort them after being painted.

Hope this info helps.
Jack

I would want to go 22" - 20" for mine.

And the price on those wheels is something I could live with. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year.

Fall Run

Carol and I are always up for a run. We traveled over the mountains to Chelan this past weekend. Weather was great and we tried to touch base with Tom but he was not home. On Sunday evening we were the chase vehicle for Jack and Sandi as they got to go flying in a hot air balloon in Snohomish. Top down and cameras clicking away. What a fun afternoon and evening.

We are going to Seaside Oregon with Jack and Sandi and some friends with a BMW. Yea we let them tag along on our annual Aniversary weekend get away. We are planning on taking the R's as long as the weather holds. Otherwise we will load up the Tahoe and head south.

We talked Ray about maybe doing a run up to the Port Angeles area before the snow and heavy rain keeps our "R's" in the garage. Keep us in mind. There are several others in the group that would probably want to tag along on a short run.

Really slick wheels! Just one word of caution. If you drive yours all the time or even get caught in a rainstorm, you are looking at a major cleanup project with all those recessed bolts and holes!

Thanks for the caution

Hi Topspin

I was looking for wheels with out the three pc. look . They just did not seem to be out there. I took a long hard look at these before I bought them. I will run them with out the inserts in the winter. We try not to use the in bad weather if possible.

Thanks again,
Jack
