Griot's Garage tech session

anyone interested in a get-together at Griot's Garage this spring? The date has been set for May 30th, see ya all there We can have a car club meet there and they can show off their wares and polish up an SSR or two . I wouldn't mind having a look at their clay bar and other goodies. Check out Hal's post #11
Flassh, Skeet- this shouldn't be too early in the spring for youz?
They are in the Tacoma area. We can do an overnight or two in that area or Birch Bay whatever

Griot's donated some of their shine to the Durango run we had in August. Nicest people to deal with! Wished we could go!

Groits

Sandy Thats a good plan, if it is the last of may or june We could make it, we usually get home from AZ by the 2nd week in may. Groits products are superb and a SSR get together is always good.

May sounds Good>> I'll call Griot's

I have been there many times, just off exit 20 I-5 in fife, actually,it's darn near straight across the freeway from Camper world, where we have met for several of our runs! Why aren't you guys responding to the Pacific Nw Fanatic section? Asking for ideas for events etc!! I'll call tomorrow and see if they can schedule a car care event at Griot's Garage,ok fanatics, let ya know soon!

Hal, sounds like May is good. I think their tech sessions are on saturdays. Let's try for the 30th. Guy called me and left a message while we were in Laughlin, so it looks like they are booking up now. Let's hope we can get the dates we want and have a good turn out.

Hi Sandy! This sounds very interesting!! I do have some commitments to the "Art in the Garden Tour" here on the North Shore, but the pull of an SSR adventure is very compelling. I would love to join in if all the timing works!!

Cheers,

Thumbs up Griot's Garage tech Date is May 30th 2009

Hello Sandy and NW Fanatics: I just got off the phone with Jason Matthews,Griot's General Manager, very nice fellow,we are all set for Saturday,May 30th,2009,at 10:00AM at Griot's Garage location:3500-A20th E,
Tacoma,WA. 98424 1-8003455789. The whole tech session takes about two hours,so we can decide to plan a run and lunch together somewhere in the
Tacoma area, what do ya say Fanatics?!Perhaps,Jack or Glenn may have a few suggestions regarding a cool short but sweet drive! Anyway, time is set
on their calender for the Pacific NW SSR Fanatics, this coming May 30th,2009.
Gino, are you guys going to be gone to Edwards AFB,for the North American speed racer trials? If my memory serves me,you mentioned you would be doing
the speed runs in May?

PS: Guy is the go to person, first, if you have any questions,if he is not available,Jason said please call him,but usually Guy handles the tech care events etc. Take care ssr fanatics>>

Guy phoned me this afternoon, he wanted to confirm that we were in his appointment book we're good to go for the 30th of May
As far as overnighting - perhaps I'll just book the Comfort Inn that Hal/Flassh listed in last summers thread. We'll most likely go south on the Friday and home on Sunday

Overnight

Sandy, check with Glenn & Sandi....... the Comfort Inn is a long way from Tacoma/Fife area. The only way to get back to I-5 is either backtrack across the Narrows Bridge or take a Ferry from the Peninsula. I'm sure Redracr and GONBYBY could suggest something closer for you and anyone that will be coming from afar, and be glad to help if you wish.

Sounds Great!!

At this point, that sounds great!! We've been looking forward to some SSR outings. We still have 6" to a foot of snow in the yard although the hills are starting to melt down. Everytime the sun shines, I want to get the SSR out of storage, but then I look at the de-icer they put on the roads, still, and know it's going to be a month or more for the roads to get cleaned up. You should see what it does to chrome here. The chrome is stained and pitted, even on on 1 and 2 year old cars and trucks.

Maybe someone will come up with a one day tour somewhere on the west side in April too?

Tom and Karen W.

Creative Idea for turnheadz

Hi Sandy,

You and Wayne are invited to stay at my home in Bellevue Friday night (and Saturday night as well) on your way to and from the Northwest SSR's Event to visit Griot's Garage, Saturday, May 30th. Saves money, and makes the trip shorter, that's for sure ! Mr & Mrs DRAGN will be here as well, so I imagine there will be a GRAND party !!!

Depending on which Boeing plant you are working with, if you can make it to my house in Bellevue Saturday morning, we'll serve you breakfast then you can ride with me....... If you are working and staying in Renton, I will arrange to pick you up at SouthCenter.......... I'm sure I will have a bunch of SSR's with me !!

Keep me posted - we tried once before and failed - so we have lots of time to get this visit right !!!

I will bring my "darling RV" here too,

and ask Delphia and Bob if they would like to join us as well - otherwise, I could borrow a few tents !!! Or people could sleep on the floor !!!

We all need to save our pennies, right !!!

Hope you consider this as a great adventure - AND PARTY !!!!!!
