Thumbs up Help Sponsor an Event for the NW SSRs

Sponsoring an Event means that you get a Great Idea of a fun run - remembering that we like to DRIVE FIRST, eat second.......

1. Idea for an adventure - one day or a weekend
2. Dates available
3. Sleuth out places to stay (weekend)
4. List contact for hotel/motel, ideas on prices
5. Plan itinerary, tour information etc. (could include maps)
6. Time & place of departure
7. Post on new thread on SSRfan in our Pac. NW Section making your heading speak to the event so people will read it
8. Plan to list attendees on your thread as they respond so you can keep track of who is planning to join in.

From that point I will be pleased to send out personal information via email as needed for the event: cell phone contacts & other necessary directions.

I like it!!!

I volunteer for the 2009 and 2010 Beach Cruise. Peter and Cindy did a great job hosting the Dragon unveiling and last year's Fort Langley run.

We can't all make all the events, but between your ideas and Hal's ideas, we should be able to have a series of events to keep us going for the summer.

I'm probably maxed out at one weekend per month, so about 4 events a year is pushing it for me. Two local car shows on our May holiday weekend, Beach Cruise in June, possibly Port Orchard in August, and the Coast Run in September.

I guess that leaves me with one weekend available in July.

Hopefully eveyone will keep late June 2010 open - I hope the Beach Cruise is HUGE.

I hope to see at least 80 SSRs make the trip.

We Accept your Challenge........... !!!!!

I bet we have more than 80 SSR's there - anyone want to do a lottery challenge - legal of course - most number trucks of the same color takes the prize (Ultra Violet's showing was impressive )!!!
Longest distance - lowest mileage (Lou probably has that already won), and whatever else our creative imaginations can muster !

PS: See it here on My Classic Car, showing May 17th on the SPEED Channel

Lou would have to actually BRING one of those low mileage beauties for it to count. If not, Signature 12 is sitting at 1352 miles - can anyone beat that?

Unless the schedule has changed, it looke like Episode 12 was airing May 17th, which would make Episode 13 the week of May 24th.

I'll try to get more info on actual air time.
