WHAT ERROR????? - since I DO NOT DO CAR SHOWS, I just do the things as favors to others........ the event is indeed August 6th, a Saturday in the great Northwest at Gig Harbor !!!

Have more news on ruise The Narrows in Gig Harbor. Talked with one of the chiefs tonight and told me we can all park together if we roll in together. We will have a staging area to gather till we all arrive. So no reason not to park as a group. The show is Saturday, August 6th. Folks start arriving around 6:30 AM. It is held at the new Uptown Gig Harbor shopping center. Plenty of good places to eat and lots of shopping for the gals. Coldwater Creek, Chico's, Galaxie Theatre, Panera Bread
and Blazing Onion plus much more.
Hey, Sounds like a fun day for all of us. Count Lynn and Don In, We will be there for sure. Maybe some of us can meet up In Fife and Cruise over together. Im sure Tickled Pink could lead the group and keep everyone together. Just keep a eye out for the Bright Pink glow????????????

Donny, Donny, Donny ! Your nice comments are very much appreciated, but you will soon learn that Car Shows are not on TickledPink's Bucket List
However, Driving and being with our fabulous SSR Family is a totally different topic !!!
PLUS: Most will also tell you that I am, admittedly, the WORST leader of a caravan because I ONLY drive when I turn the key on and I am generally solo ...... Can't Multi-Task and be good at driving, replying to phone or radio calls, while at the same time watching for everyone (especially when they refuse to turn their fog lights on) ....... So, as they say on "Shark", I'm probably out on this one!
Keep your good thoughts, August is a long way off and we have a lot of driving to do until then !!!
Sue, Just think how much fun you will have, Being with all the non Pink SSR--------S. You are the hit of the parade. Lynn and I are getting Involved with the group and you are one that makes It fun. OK, Ok. There will be alot of shopping you can do with all the Garage sale money.

Here we have a brand new SSR owner getting involved right off the bat and he finds out one of his new family members lacks the ability to sit still for a 12 hour car show with a bunch of boys kicking ... tires !
Milo - that doesn't mean I won't continually inform & update everyone in my SSR email connection of the wonderful invitation you have put out to the NW SSRs....... I promise to do everything I can to encourage our SSR Family (far and wide) to participate and you will be very PROUD to lead your new pack into the Gig Harbor Car Show !!
(Caution - Be very careful of "turnheadz - she wins most of the prizes offered !!! Now she has an ALL NEW presentation of her beloved SSR (darling husband Wayne will no doubt be dressed to match !).

Tickledpink, I know you will have a ton of fun not sitting benind the SSR, You will be to busy to do that. I will make sure of that. With the new radiator fan you should be able to get across the narrows bridge with out overheating. You do have tripple A, I hope??????????

Is there gonna be an SSR turnout for this show in Gig Harbor? I finally figured out how to log back in after a year and half.
How does meeting at the fife poodle dog restaurant parking lot early saturday morning of the car show and touring over together. On I-5 suthbound you take the first fife exit to the right to the stop light and the poodle dog Is on the northwest corner of the street. everyone who thinks they will be going, PM me and I will make a list of who Is going.

Hi Monnie. When we get parked at the car show on saturday morning of August 6th, Is there a restaurant where all of us can get together for breakfast. One couple from California will be there In a rental car and wants to meet everyone and have breakfast. Thanks Do Boltz

Donny, There are several places to have breakfast. I suggest The Sunset Grill just accross the street from the car show. Good food and fairly reasonable. Lunch places in the immediate area are Panera Bread, Blazing Onion and Sunset Grill.
We can probably all gather at the now closed Borders Books parking lot which is at the entrance to the actual show area.
There is also the Gig harbor Farmers markert right next to the car show.
Hi Milo. I had origionaly planned on meeting with some of the others at the Poodle Dog restaurant In fife and cruising over together. I think because of being so early and everyone coming from different places that we will all meet at the car show. Is 615 AM a good time to meet AT BORDERS PARKING LOT.

BORDERS PARKING LOT IS GREAT AT 6:15 AM. Those of not familiar with UPTOWN GIG HARBOR, here are simple directions.
Exit Hwy 16 at the Olympic exit. from the south cross over the freeway, get in the left hand lane, when past the freeway lights again get into the far left hand lane. turn and you will see a SAFEWAY on your left, at the first SIGNAL LIGHT turn left into the UPTOWN CENTER. The Borders parking will be on your right. Coming from the North take the Olympic exit, turn right at the top of exit and immediatly get in the far left turn lane at the signal turn left and then turn left at the first signal light.
