Leavenworth Car Show

Hi Gang !!!

There is going to be a CAR SHOW in Leavenworth!!
August 22, 2009
9:30am to 3:00pm
There will also be a raffle & other prizes.
Cost $20.00 Proceeds wil go to set up a scholarship for a Leavenworth High School Student.

I have set up a block of rooms at the Howard Johnson, 509-548-4326. Please call them direct for rooms.

They only had 18 for Sat I took them all - 5 king, 13 double queens.The block is for Fri & Sat.They gave us a rate of $120 normally $150. Block is under the name SSR (duh). They will only hold until the 27th of July.

With enough interest I will set up something for Sat after the show. Maybe a little run and some fun!!

Let me know by PM as soon as you can. There are 120 street rods in town right now and the Tacoma Corvette Club had a show over the past weekend. We're a great place to vist even without a car show.

So come on over the hill and down the mountain to Leavenworth!!

Hope to see you all here in August. PM me by the 1st of August !!

Hmmm- Haven't been to Leavenworth in a while. How't the parking at the Howard Johnson?? I think most of us are a bit weird about our toys getting door dings.

Are the show and downtown within walking range of the hotel? I think Iris would enjoy walking the downtown area while the show is happening.

I have reserved a lot right by the hotel for just the SSR's. The show is 2 blocks fom downtown and about 7 or 8 blocks to the hotel. Nothing is to far in Leavenworth.

If you get wild and crazy and are looking for a fun trip take a drive to Leavenworth, WA. It is like being in the Alps.

FYI: There is extensive roadwork between Monroe & Sultan going on right now........... It is supposed to take a long time, as they finish one part and go on to another. FYI - It is heavily grooved, one side has been re-paved (o7/19), so I'm sure that entire section will be finished in time for the Leavenworth show, but they intend to continue the work until it is finished. Alas, the road has NOT BEEN WIDENED !

I just booked rooms for Whaleys & Angelines. You might want to change the number on the post for the Hotel. Should be 509-548-4326. The people I called were very nice but didn't have enough enough bedrooms for all of us. Hee Hee.

I'll have to send my MIL over that way to take some pictures. She lives in Black Diamond and visits Leavenworth often. Wish we could be there...sounds like fun

Love to join everyone in this run to a great place. Unfortunately will be driving to Boise so my mother-in-law can see her newest great-grandson. Maybe next year! Have a great run!
