Leavenworth Car Show Photos and Accolades

Oh, MY - what fun Virginia Rayner and I had, playing tag, driving as a team on I-5 at 50 - 75 mph and eventually "skunking" all the LANE HOGS from Bellevue to Leavenworth and back !!

Grand scenery under the clear blue skies of the Pacific Northwest and the mighty crags of the Cascades Mountain Range as we headed over Snoqualmie Pass in the wee hours of the morning, then up, up up and up to the top of Blewett Pass (4000 + feet and a lot more), then down - down - DOWN, AND DOWN the other side! - almost straight down into the Wenatchee Valley to the Gorgeous Flower Laden Alpine town of Leavenworth.......... and to the Car Show to benefit a local young boy who had an unfortunate encounter with a lawn mower, and the Middle School as well !

Larry & Lynelle, Brian & Becky met us with 2 beautifully embroidered SSR canvas bags to match our SSRs ! And that was just the beginning of the wonderful day !

Brian offered taxi service to the wonderful town so we could leave some cash with the merchants !! (we both did)

Thanks for posting the photos. I will post mine when I get back on the west side on Monday. Glad you and Virginia could make it. It is always fun sitting around, enjoying the weather and talking about our SSR's. Looking forward to the Oregon Coast Run.

Thanks to those that made our show at Leavenworth. One of each solid color was great. We had good weather and a wonderful time. Hope to see more SSRs next year.

Looks like everyone had a great time. Next year hope to join the group as it has been years since we last visited Leavenworth. It would be a great run for others from N. CA on north.
