Hello Fanatics: We need all of your support in keeping our 2009 SSR Event schedule
full of fun day and double day meet & greets, coupled with places to go see and cruises etc!! So please give us some feedback fanatics where you would like to set your compasses for our next outing!! We should have at least one event each month, the spring & summer fly by too darn fast, before you know it we will be talking about winter layup & storage stories, don't want to hear that,so let's
lite up the lite bulbs of Ideas fanatics!! Lead time is ctitical,to say the least, three weeks notice is short.but can't help it if we plan one to two events per month?!
The forum is open,so let's hear from you all!! Geno wants to have a BBQ at his place, this was talked about on our spring opener, but didn't get any action confirmation from Sue,Geno spoke to her,so I would please ask Sue to call Geno & Rose and start getting some specifics, pretty please, wagonmaster! In the meantime, please opine regarding this topic! Thanks!!
If anyone is iinterested in joining us in Penticton for the Beach Cruise late June, we still have a week to go on our reservations at the Lakeside Resort.
20 SSRs so far. Lots from Alberta, only a couple from Washington.

You would think there would be more given the Canadian peso. For Americans, it is like a 20% discount.
Hello Again Pacific NW Fanatics: Here are a few places to consider day trips or double day?! Ocean Shores,Mt Rainier,Mt St. Helens,Lk Chelan(1st week Oct.)
Port Orchard "CRUZ" this August 9th,2009)Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce - The Cruz- Classic Car Show)
A trip to Mt.Rainier and/or Mt.St.Helens would be fun, Mary and I have been wanting to check out both of those places.
Hello Tim: I agree, both would be a fun run! I think some(Fanatics) spoke to us
about incorporating one of these destinations early morning, then return to Gino & Rose's for a BBQ?! I need to call Gino and ask when this would be good for them, then run it by the forum for available attendee's etc. Stay tuned Fanatics!
Our NW SSR Committee is already working on some ideas and dates........
Stay tuned to the NW SSR information as it comes in on our 2009 list of ideas - we have a lot of people working out details !!
Sue
I don't know who all these people are who are working on ? All I know is the days a clicking by and there is no mention of any definite schedules, other than Penticton and Griott's Garage! You well know the difficulty of trying to gather our Fanatics Friends on short notice, they all have lives too and have prior committments etc. Gino & Rose are thinking August for there BBQ.They will be in touch with you soon so we can start promoting their BBQ. Let's not conflict with Aug 9th, Port Orchard Cruz?!
I Understand Mt Rainier is approximately one hour from Tacoma,wa.That's two hrs travel time R/T from Tacoma. Mt St Helens is a three hour time travel from Tacoma,Wa. six hr travel time R/T,so neither selection will work for Gino & Rose's BBQ event.
Maybe we should just pick a saloon in Tacoma and get wasted?! OOP's I can't do that anymore! I know how efficient you are ,Sue,so it goes without saying,a 2009 schedule of events is needed so folks can start planning.Friday is May first already! Holy jumping time clock,it's a flying!! I was merely trying to muster some interest and take advantage of the time remaining! I know you have been busy with your personal business also!A PM or a phone call would be nice, keep me in the loop!! Or as half of americana says, que pasa?!
PS: We must set out a basic SSR Schedule of Events a year in advance,it's not realistic to get folks participating on a moments notice, obviously,we shall simply do our best and hope we get more cooperation from member fanatics!

Hal I have some good and bad news my friend, I cannot make it to your Port Orchard show as I will be flying home from vegas that day, But I would be interested in the BBQ as long as it doesn't interfere with one of my Fighting events. we have 2 in Aug, the second one for that month is in Portland on the29 and we usually arrive on the thursday prior and leave sunday or monday so if it is inbetween those dates we would love to come.
Hi,
Just curious how many SSR members are down here in Oregon. It seems like all the events talked about are in Washington. I go to car shows and cruise-ins at least once a week in the Salem - Willamette Valley area from May thru September. Hardly see any other SSR's down here.

Hey Russ,
I am over in the Orenco area of Hillsboro , and TMZSSR is over in Sheridan. There are a couple of other on this site, but I'm not sure where they are located. I know there are two, and , outside Forest Grove that belong to brothers, but they are not on site. Also, there's a that sits on Hwy 47 in Gaston occasionally that they have met previously. If the weather's nice, you give me a time and place, and I'll be there. David
Hello Guys: Say, I believe Sue is planning a September run down to the Oregon coast,so stay tuned,I believe she will be posting a tenative schedule shortly?! Thanks for speaking up!!!

Hal, I'm here, and I check in regularly.
In order to gauge the level of interest in an event, someone has to peg down time and dates and keep score for the event.
The Texas rally has a list of who's attending (120 so far), same thing with the Beach Cruise (20 registered). It's nice to know how many are going where. I'm interested in the Port Orchard run again - the last two years it's been the same weekend as our dealer meeting. Not sure yet how this year will fall out.
I'd like to get away for a weekend sometime in August. Also plan to catch the tail end of the Coast Run in September. If you start a list and event information for the Port Orchard run, put me down - I'll try my best to get there this time.

Hi Hal,
I am on here most days at one time or another, primarily for Texas , Colorado , and the WDC as I plan to attend all this summer, but I do check this forum. Unfortunately, I am unavailable for participation in Saturday events, so that leaves me fairly well stuck out. However, I do understand the needs of the vast majority, Monday through Friday crowd. We all have our own constraints to participation. There have been numerous suggestions for events. Set the dates, ask for RSVPs, and let the chips fall.
