Hi Tim,
I was thinking that we might try to start in January since the holidays are so busy for everyone. I was thinking we could start either the 9th or 23rd with Hands On Cafe, 8245 Barnes Road, Portland, at 10AM for Sunday Brunch. The menu is not huge, but it is good and fresh. Then, if the weather is nice, we could cruise Skyline, of course, here in Oregon, what are the odds??? Maybe some of the other area Fanatics will show up. Anyway, let me know what you think, and we'll go from there.

Eat and Greet Plans
Hi Dave, Are you still planning to do the E&G and is it going to be on the 9th or the 23rd ? We need to try contacting the other PDX area SSR owners, did you get that Roster List from Sue ? According to that list we have 4 in our area plus
Tim Henderson that lives in Ilwaco but his mother lives in our area so he is a possibility, the other 2 besides you and I are Ken and Merry Osterman and Tony and Cindy Ing.

Hi,
It looks like TMZSSR/Tim & Mary, tnmieng/Tony & Cindy Eng, and ABLUR05/Nicolette & I are confirmed for the initial PDX Area Eat & Greet at the Hands On Cafe this Sunday, the 9th, with the possibility of Ostee874/Ken & Merry joining us. I was unable to talk with sonofhndr/Tim and will send a private message to see if we can connect. Anyone else in the area is welcome to come. Nicolette and I look forward to seeing you all!

Possible Snow Sunday
The weather reports for Sunday morning are not looking good, let's all keep our fingers crossed that we don't have snow to deal with Sunday morning during our breakfast get together.

Hey Tim,
I hear ya! Unfortunately, this is Oregon in the rainy season (the nine months that are not summer!), so trying to plan for dry weather is a dicey situation. Fortunately, the only accurate weather forecast is for the day that just ended! We'll just hope for the best and deal with the rest.

Reschedule of PDX Area E&G
Well, it has turned out to be an ice, rain, snow mixture for our planned PDX area Eat & Greet today at the Hands On Cafe. So, after talking with several others, we have decided to move the date to Sunday, the 23rd, same time, same location, and try again.
David - Thanks for the call postponing the brunch - Will get a little crazy here at the office until after April 18th but will look forward to seeing everyone in the future. Take care, Ken

Sunday E & G
Our first Portland area E & G was held yesterday, we had 3 SSRs there had brunch together at the Hands On Cafe on the border of Beaverton and Portland, then followed David up to Council Crest Park, on a clear day you can see most of Portland and several of the mountain peaks from up there, unfortunately it was socked in with fog this time, then we drove down to Beaverton to Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe for hot chocolate and some fancy chocolate truffles. David took several pictures, hopefully he will post them soon. We are going to try to do this monthly and the next couple times we are going to meet at Diners in the Portland area that were showcased on Divers, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network and possibly a run out to Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge after Brunch.

Here are the images from our first PDX E&G. Everyone seemed to have a good time! The brunch was delicious, and, although the fog eliminated the views from Council Crest, chocolate can be enjoyed anytime!

Portland E & G For February
We are looking at Sunday Feb 20th for February's E & G, in Portland at Byways Cafe, 1212 NW Glisan St at 10 AM, will that work for everybody ? If the weather is decent that day I suggest caravaning out to Multnomah Falls after brunch.Let me know if this plan will work for all of you, I am going to scout out the parking situation near the cafe to see where would be best for us to park. Thanks, Tim

Checked Out Byways Cafe
Mary and I drove to Portland today and checked out the Byways Cafe, had lunch there was good but their breakfasts are what they are noted for. Parking isn't ideal but not too bad, parking lot is across the street and down a couple doors from the cafe.
