We had a GREAT Day on our run to Mt. St. Helen's. There were 15 SSR's and one HHR as one of the SSR's was broken. We traveled a total of 280 miles (round trip) from our house. A few others traveled farther than that!
What a great group of SSR friends we have. Thanks to everyone for coming and making our day so much fun. Sue (Tickled Pink) drove to Jebino's to meet us for dinner, as she could not make the run.
Our dinner was fantastic at Jebino's. Our thanks to Tammi & John for the wonderful hospitality that their restaurant has to offer. A HUGE thanks to John for his singing of an old standard - Mack the Knife, and to Tammi for taking the group photo in the parking lot. How many cameras can you hold at once Tammi?
Following are a few photos and we hope that the rest of you will add to them.
See you all out and about,
Jack & Sandi GONBYBY

Mighty fine day for everyone - thanks to our fabulous hosts Jack & Sandi, and special thanks to those of you who were new, and those of you who traveled great distances to be part of this fantastic day in our Pacific Northwest !!
Great job you guys! We all had a wonderful time, you both put some time and effort in this event and it showed by the precision timing as we arrived at each scheduled stop, as it appeared on our travel itinerary sheet. It was one hot mama on top of MT ST Helens, that's for sure!!We have some shots of castle lake view station, spirit lake, the longer of the two shown here. Inside the visitors center and souvenir shoppe a great mock up of the Mt ST. Helens
national park. The exhibition explained how in 182 seconds this natural disaster spread over 17 miles and leveled old growth timber like match sticks over several hundred acres of this national park land.Incredible,May,18Th,1980,man it seems like it was only a few years ago, unbelievable!
We all enjoyed the owner belting out the old standard Mack the knife, made popular when sung by Bobbie Darin in the late fifties! That was my Moms favorite song at the time, brought back a loving memory for me how about you? Really enjoyed that touch, food was good too!! Thanks Jebinos, for giving us such a special treat!!
A sincere thanks to all for a fabulous event. It was great having so many SSR's together in tandem. Thanks to all who helped put this together and our hosts at Jebino's. It was awesome meeting all of you other great SSR enthusiasts. What a group of nice people. Looking forward to Seaside and more events. Hope to see more Oregon particapants.
