Saw the news and it seems Calgary is getting snow , YUCK !! Mind you on the coast we are mowing our lawns wearing shorts and out for a drive with the top down

Calgary, man that snow sucks. Now their streets are going to have gravel/sand.... on them until next spring

I was watching CTV newsnet and they showed Edmonton and Calgary ,you guys seem to have got nailed with an icy blast today . Unfortunatly there were some fatalities, very sad when tradgedy strikes

yeah chris we got snow,really bad day to drive, we both have 4by4's for days like this. lots of accidents too,typical on the 1st snowfall, but it will all melt & i will drive the ssr a few more times this year!

It just seems too soon to snow, even up there , especially with global warming

This weather only gets worse , Edmonton, Calagary and i saw that Ray in Summerland had cold weather . I cannot Lie as we here on the coast have had it cool and a bit of rain . I was in a chopper out over the west coast of the island yesterday and we were blown all around in snowand rain , the pilot made the call to end the flight as we were getting pushed down by down drafts while he had the throttle at 100%

some big wet front was supposed to move in here yesterday but so far not a heck of a lot. The temps came up though

It has been great to work in this dry sunny autumn

It was ugly , we were out over Caycuse on the west coast the first 10 min were fine but the further west we went and the higher we got it got worse, one moment he's giving it all doing 20 miles per hr into a head wind then we get a 120 mph tail wind , thats when he said " I am turning around we are loosing a 1000 feet a min' i looked down and thought we had about 90 seconds left .200 feet to my right side is trees and when you look out to the left its 2000 feet down and the tail was swinging around from the cross winds, the ride had turned into a martini shaker
They can go above 100 percent but its real hard on the equiptment and is only to be used in a emergency and these bush choppers are pro's and dont take chances .
Hopefully I will get to go again as we would have been out for 3-4 hrs surveying decomissioned logging roads to make sure there are no washouts for environmental reasons
