Thumbs up Northwest SSR Invitations for 2008

Now as our SSR excitement for 2008 begins to build, here are some of our invitations to Northwest Activities and thoughts for those of you who don't read your darling, loving emails from me !!
Get your Calendars out and let me know what dates work for you -

Sue,
On April 5th we will be unveiling the Daffodil Festival Traveling float for
our 2008 Royalty. At the unveiling patry we put on a big chilli feed with
hotdogs, salads, etc. for the parents of our royalty, our sponsors and the
Daffodilians and of course our Princesses and Queen.

The event starts right after the Junior Daffodil Parade that is held in Tacoma's
proctor district. The parade ends around noon so people start showing up
after 12. The Clan Gordon Pipe Band will be there as well as the new Pierce
Transit Daffodil Bus. We usually have a great time and weather permitting
it could be a good outing for the SSR's. I know our Royalty would love to
see them and get their photos taken with them.

The event takes place outside and inside the float barn (where we built the
float) and then after most people leave we get serious about liquid refreshents
if you know what I mean.

Glenn

Hi Sue....

I am making inquiries on the Run to Roslyn Car Show in August. They had over 500 cars last year and this is the the 25-26th year. I talked this morning to the contact and they (as of now) old allow 1960's and older. I explained what our trucks are and they are going to put it to a vote at their car club meeting the end of March.

They said they would calll me the lst week in April with an answer if we could be included.

We have a cabin in the mountains outside Roslyn and thought this might be fun for August. Let me know your thoughts on this and we will wait to put it to the group after we get a response in April.

Thanks Roberta

Olympic Peninsula Cruise and dinner in Kingston - sometime in the summer - talking to Scott & Deanna

September Plans at the Fort Langley Drive-In Movie Theatre : No date yet

Cindy & Peter have already contacted the owners of the Drive-In and we have been offered early admission for a TAILGATE Party before the Movie !! Probably suggest coming up on Friday, staying at the Motel 8, having a group dinner Friday night, then spending the day Cruising in preparation for an SSR Tailgate Party and Movie !! More thought to come as we talk to the weather man !!
*********************

And, of course, the great Penticton Cruise and Car Show in June !!! We have such a fabulous bunch of SSRfanatics coming to Penticton, and many Fanatics from other states coming all this way as Guests to Penticton as well!! What an awesome weekend of Memories we plan to have for all of you !! We still have 14 rooms for those of you who are sitting on the fence !! Love to have you join us any time !!

Welcome to the website.

Where are you located?

Setting up an avatar is fairly easy.

Go to User CP, then settings and options.

Welcome from the sunny state of California. We in the south of the state always find a way to welcome visitors.

Now back to the regular program,

Sue,
You guys up there have a busy schedule. When you get the dates set you need to get them on the Pacific calendar.

Thanks all. My name is Kevin, and I'm from Edmonds, WA. (20 minutes or so North of Seattle.) This looks like a lot of fun. I have to say, this is the first "cool car" I've driven since I had a '70 Chevelle when I was 18. (I'm 51 now.)

Hi, Kevin

Best be careful out there. If Sue (tickledpink)our official Northwest wagonmaster latches on to you, you won't be able to get away from this northwest bunch.

The first post lists some of the events going on in the Northwest this spring and summer.

If you send me a PM with email address, possibly a phone number. I can get you in touch with her.

A whole group from the Seattle area are coming to Penticton mid June.

Still 12 days to book a room in our block at the Lakeside. By the time June rolls around, I expect we'll have close to 70 SSRs coming.

Smile Kevin ! We've been waiting for you !!!

Welcome to our Northwest SSR group - the most incredible group of people in the world - charming, passionate, funny, thoughtful and always ready to support our adventures - whatever they may be !! Not only do we have a great group from Washington, but we get the honor (honour) and extreme pleasure of mixing it up with our Canadian neighbors to the North !! We all met as strangers and became a wonderful family !!

Right now we are encouraging our SSRfans to get their buns in gear and sign on to a wonderful weekend in Penticton, BC ! I will recommend quitting your job to attend this fabulous event if you cannot get the time off !! (I did, but then, I am RETIRED !!! )

Please send me a PM (click on my fanatic name and send a message) with your name, phone number and private email....... spouse name too, so I can create an official Northwest SSR FANATIC Badge for you........

Early next week I will be posting a new thread about our invitation to Roslyn, WA for an incredible weekend and car show, August 17th. I am looking into renting a HUGE Cabin for all of us.......... have one available, but I think there is only a DIRT ROAD - EEEEEEKS !! Many NW SSRfans have already RSVP'd YES on for this one too!!! WOW !! Am I ever TICKLEDPINK!!!

Looking into finding a few HOSES in town for us, so please, write the date down !!

You can reach me directly tickledpink@mac.com
