Northwest SSRs Circle the Date for this special invitation from the Roslyn Car Club !

The Roslyn Car Club (where Northern Exposure was filmed), has invited our Northwest SSR Group to join them, Sunday, August 17th.

Here are the details:
Car Show August 17th Sunday
starts at 8:00 but suggests we line up about 7:00 so we can be grouped together.

No pre-registration just pay at the gate $20.00 per car.
They have door prizes, goodies bags, a Reno trip, and cash prizes. They do a Poker walk thru the town great way to see his historical town, and lots of venders.

Awards begin at 3:00 and wraps up about 4:00.

They expect 400-450 cars.

More information later - this sounds like a fun event !! Mark & Roberta have a cabin in the historic town !!

We do have a lot of interest in going to Roslyn - I am waiting to hear from the owners of a huge rental log cabin regarding the "dirt road"........ Is there someone in Roslyn with a hose???

Hi Gang !

FireChaser - Mark & Roberta - took me to Roslyn to look for accommodations for the weekend of the car show in August.

We chose a really clean Motel at Lake Cle Elum where we have filled 6 rooms with our group. The Starlight Motel in Lake Cle Elum is full, but we have more places to stay in the area :

(The restored Victorian Rental House we went to check out was a BORDELLO with lots and lots of little rooms with mattresses in them and lots of tiny staircases going in all sorts of directions!!!! Pictures to follow !!! - We all laughed and laughed !)

This community is quaint with lots of history !! We are planning a Saturday Cruise / Picnic / and maybe even a First Run Movie in the Funeral Home !

WOO HOO !!!

Summer in the Pacific Northwest......... Oh, my golly !! .. our weather has been perfect ....... mid 70's, Sunshine, Blue Skies and lots of special SSR Connections for all of us !! I hear about local SSR Outings & Cruises with those of you who have become family/friends through our NW SSR Group, and lots of stories of anticipation of NW & Inter-National SSR things to come in 2009......... One week on the road and no SSR's except for Gary (Richochet ) who joined us for lunch in BC !!

As for your NW TickledPink SSR information source, I have been camping in La Conner for the week - took my HUMMER to Vancouver (actually Richland BC) to have lunch with Lou & Yvonne !! Gary (Richochet) joined us too, and we dined on the warm sunny deck of the BoatHouse Restaurant along the Fraser River. Gary arrived in his Silver SSR - Lou & Yvonne arrived in their superbly "tricked out" white H2 SUT HUMMER !!! I proudly parked beside them in my "Pink-i-fied" Pewter H2 HUMMER !! All the girls' gave ME the THUMBS UP !!!

Before leaving for my "camping trip", Brian & Sara Logan (Ole Yeller) came to Bellevue and we were able to spend some time together .......... I hope our group doesn't ever lose them as their last event with our NW SSR family will be the Roslyn weekend. Sara will open her new Dental Practice in the Denver area on November 1st.

Now it has come to be that Brian & Sara may stay with me until Roslyn as their home in Moses Lake has a potential buyer which means they will be homeless !!

Meanwhile, I shall be sending lots of new information and "Encouragement" to those of you who are "hanging on the fence" of commitment, encouraging you to join some of our last three events of 2008 .......... Port Orchard, Roslyn and the Drive-In Movie weekend are not to be missed !! Many of us have spent a whole lot of time preparing the greatest events of all - just for YOU !!

I am new to PDX and would like information on area SSR clubs/events. I have an '05 bermuda blue SSR which I love dearly. I realize it will begin to rain here soon and not stop until next June, so I understand that there may not be anything organized until that time.

Good choice of colour, (same as mine), Bermuda Blue is a Cadillac colour, but in the SSR world we call it Aqua Blur.

Glad to hear from another Oregon SSR owner, we have mostly been attending events up in Washington because there were so few known Oregon members and the Washington owners have several events per year. I live out near McMinnville and have friends and relatives in Forest Grove and Beaverton, so I pass by Hillsboro quite often, would love to meet you sometime and show you my SSR and discuss possible events for Oregon, I was just recently suggesting to Sue a possible Oregon Event for this coming year.

Actually, I feel I'm on a real Party just driving my cute little truck TOPLESS wearing a PERMAGRIN !!!

However, the more the merrier, that's for sure !! I often wish we all lived in the same neighborhood - that would be HEAVEN !!!
