Talking NW SSR Invitation and Questionnaire:

Anyone interested in either or both of these special invitations??

Marv Malony, the track manager at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA, has invited our NW SSR group to participate in a Parade prior to the racing events !
The PACE CAR for the track is a gorgeous Ultra Violet SSR from Evergreen Chevrolet. Not only is Marv interested in joining in some of our fun, but has extended an invitation for the following:

1. Be an "Assistant Pace Car" at the Labor Day Evergreen Fair, Saturday, September 5th (details to follow). The Events for Saturday, Labor Day Weekend, include assorted races............

2. Present our NW SSR Group to the fans with a Parade of SSR's around the track (not at track speed, however) behind the SSR Pace Car on a Saturday night next summer - dates to be agreed upon by all as the track puts its schedule together)

If you like any or all of these invitations, kindly respond on this thread. I will keep you informed on details !

Should be a real KICK !!! Marv is wearing a PINK SSR Pin !!!

PS: FYI - Marv had the SSR on the track at 120 mph - said it was a wee bit loose on the corners at that speed.........

Sounds Like a Hoot

We would love to do both events but are going to be competing in a 3 day Scrabble Tournament in Portland Labor Day Weekend, but we are definitely interested in Choice 2, give us for info once you get it, thx

Evergreen Speedway!

Wow Sue, you sure do get into some interesting situations. Jack & I are always game for a fun event. Labor Day is pretty close to the Oregon event. The SSR parade around the track for 2010 gives us more time to plan. BUT - if you get enough other people for the Labor Day event - we could possibly manage it. You go girl!
