NW SSR's featured at the Monroe Evergreen Speedway, August 7th
We have been invited on August 7th, to the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA for an evening of FUN AT THE TRACK, sponsored by Speedway Chevrolet !! As most of you know, the Evergreen Speedway runs a gorgeous Ultra Violet SSR as its PACE CAR !!
We will be given a private parking area for our trucks - AFTER our introduction and laps around the track, there will be a hospitality area where we will tailgate. Please bring your own food. Race tickets will be purchased ahead for those of you who plan to stay, cost is $7.50 per head to get into the bleachers where we have a roped off area !!
It might be fun for those who stay over around the area Saturday night, to head to LaConner for lunch and a beautiful PERMAGRIN cruise on Sunday.

Hello PACNW Fanatics: What do ya say if we keep a good 30days between events, otherwise it reduces the participation for upcoming events. I liked what Tom(SKEET) had to say about a east of the moutain's event, especially Lk Chelan,it's like going to Penticton again, only closer for us USA fanatics.Certainly deserves consideration eh! (Wagonmaster)
I would suggest the 7th of August for the Evergreen Round up! That way we can get to our fall event around the first or second week of September?! What say you fanatics?

We will be given a private parking area for our trucks - AFTER our introduction and laps around the track, there will be a hospitality area where we will be served dinner (price to be decided) !! My friend and manager of Evergreen Speedway, Marv Malony is asking our choice for two dates for weekends in August 2010. I am proposing we stay over Saturday night around the area and head to Mt. Baker Sunday morning for a beautiful PERMAGRIN cruise !!!
Please look at you calendars and choose 2 weekends that will work for you. Seafair is August 1 I believe.
Select from the following weekends: (choose two)
August 7
August 14
More ideas will be coming as my great planning team (Glenn & Carol; Cindy & Peter) discuss new ideas !!
Sue - Ready to hit the road !!!
There are only two dates to choose from, so the voting should be easy
Putting this event on my to do list and will try to schedule my work around these dates. Do we get to drive the track as fast as we want?

August 7th it is !!!!!!
Realizing it is difficult to select a weekend in August for a NW SSR Event, we have decided on August 7th for those of you who can join in the fun at Evergreen Speedway.
There will be more information as the summer nears, so stay tuned !!
Your comments are always appreciated as I know how much everyone loves to get together and DRIVE !! (The one thing we noticed on our Oregon trip was that everytime we stopped, we all took pictures of our trucks FIRST !)

Sue,
"Redracr" and "GonByBy" will be out of town that weekend. Sorry we will miss the event. Looking forward to the E/W - Columbia River - Wine country run though. Also Penticton.
Hello: August is a ways off,but I am sure Sue would agree,as soon as the final
dates have been placed in stone,we fanatics then need to give our attendance intentions to the Event Host so they can make obvious plans for us etc.
FYI Antsy SSR Fanatics: Probably won't be scheduling any day trips until the weather starts showing signs of spring, hopefully, mid March?!
Don't want to hijack this thread,so will start a new post for future Events, mainly day trips like we did last year to break the ice,for 2010 SSR Fanatic Events. Must clear all ideas with Sue first! It's good preventive health!

Thanks tickledpink for inviting us to attend this event. You have a PM. If you need any more information from us let me know. We are looking forward to making lots of new SSR friends and meeting some we have already met at Woodward. If anyone has any information on an RV park in the area let us know. See you soon.

I will look into RV spots.......... You might end up in my driveway !!!
How great to have contact with you !! I do know of a few places around the Eastside for your RV and will email to you regarding that information...
Meanwhile, we would LOVE to have you join our fun at the Speedway on August 7th !! We have SSRs coming from all around the area and then some - Pasadena, Oregon, British Columbia !! Just plan on being ready to hit the road on the 7th and even on the 8th when we plan to do a run into LaConner (I-5 and Mt Vernon) for lunch with our SSR families from British Columbia ! Still gives you plenty of time to get to your date on the 9th !! (We might have so much fun that you will NEVER want to leave us !)
What fun !!! Have a safe trip - and yes, we do have some traffic hazards that weekend with the Navy Blue Angels which shut down I-90 for several hours for practice on Friday, Saturday and of course for their awesome show on Sunday !!

Port Orchard is a LONG LONG way away from LaConner !~
Quote:
Sue, do we have time on the Sunday cruise to drop into Port Orchard and say hi to Hal and have an hour to check out the car show?
Sandy, I wish we did, but it is more than an hours drive from Bellevue and we will be one hour (PLUS) north of Bellevue. Not only a long drive, but the Navy Blue Angels will have all the traffic JAMMED for two to THREE hours as people try to find ways to cross Lake Washington... You might take the Edmonds Ferry and go across if you wish to participate ! I know Hal would love having you there !
