No, seriously.....

DOOPHUS in BC is really DYoung - he only gets up each day long enough to eat his Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich - washed down with Canadian ALE of some sort. - watches a few hours of Hannah Montana/Re-Runs of BAY WATCH, the Hooters Competition PreRecorded on his VCR in 1980 and then heads back into his LazyBoy for the evening ......... we offered him USA Miller Lite. to see if that would help to stimulate some of his former senses........

XXXOOO,

Was in the Capital on business for a couple of days . . . and lo and behold I actually left rain in Victoria to find sunny skies on the North Shore! Go figure. It really is usually the other way around. Victoria is great.

Have my fingers crossed for a dry day tomorrow as my just had a bath and I don't want to get her dirty on a drive to work.

Cheers,
Delphia

Wasn't us hey, it could have been if we were test driving the '03 that Prestons Chev has on the lot. I suspect that it may be Shell Busey's

Funny. The first SSR I saw was a '03 at a car show on Prestons lot. It was $85K! Don Carr of Don Carr Chev out of White Rock has a '03that I heard keeps at his summer property in Arizona. Did not know Busey had one.

Egads!! No ferry for unless it was some type of unavoidable emergency!! It was a floatplane for me.

Happy driving!

I think Shell bought the first one at Preston's. Talked to him about pricing before he got it, but he really wanted it. Not sure the exact number he paid, but it was up there pretty good.

My first one was a yellow 03 out of North Carolina. It was about 22K less than the Canadian asking price at the exchange rate of the day. Lined it up ahead of time, and picked it up when it was 6 months and 2 days old to meet the warranty requirements. Well, almost. Drove it from NC, then took it to Edmonton and Calgary and back home before it reached 7500 miles.

Delphia, ferries aren't a problem if you get a sympathetic ticket booth attendant. Just need to look at them like you're going to cry, and ask if they'll put you on the truck deck. Lots of room if you're between transports. It's worked for us a few times.

That's a wonderful tactic Ray and thanks so much for the hint! I'll work on my "waterworks" if I have an Island visit.

It wasnt me as i drive a red one but i saw the same yellow one you are talking about , the guy is in his 60,s and looks like doug young only a few extra pounds and longer hair .I didn't get a chance to check the plate to see if it was from BC as we get a few in town who are tourists from the south . Maybe it,s some one new who has got it from elsewhere as there is still lots of money out there and our economy is still holding its own but not tanking "yet" ! Maybe he is from up island as their are a few yellows out their

If Mike has island fever, going to Vancouver Island for a getaway isn't going to help him much.

getting on the truck deck:

asking to be put down on the lower deck doesn't work when you get down there early for the first sailing and you interupt the union sister in the ticket booth when she is on a personal phone call,,,has happened twice in the last year,,,

Ah , the blessed union BC ferry worker , They are the poster children of leftist unionism, voted most unproductive and yet they get a $500.00 bonus at our Canadian thanksgiving, at the cost to residents and recent double didget fare increases due to fuel surcharges . B.C means "Bring Cash "

I must be brave or stupid but here goes , My other half is blond and the real reason men prefer blonds is so they can use the handicap parking spot , so when i go to the mainland i get to park in the handicap spot where i will get no door dents . Should i never make another post or not show up in Penticton next year you should assume Linda has read this , and i am fish food some where in the Straits of Georga after being pushed overboard
