Got the ok from Sherrys doctor yesterday, so I am sure we will be making the trip. Now all I have to do is get off my butt and get the car ready to go. Need to relocate the intercooler for the supercharger reinstall Mikes aux. fan and put Mikes trans. cooler on. Cant wait to get on the road, see you all soon Bert & Sherry.

Went to Wal-Mart this weekend and got a pair of two-way radios. We will give one to Bert & Sherry so we both will be properly equipped . (We already have them tuned to channel 11!) Getting a little excited here.

See all you folks in a few days!

Today I begin packing...... and promising myself that I shall not take too much stuff (Not my best talent to say the least).

My Walkie Talkie is already tuned to Channel 11 as well !

We are so impressed and tickled that you MOBSTERS are coming to join us !!
This adventure will be one for the memory books !!!

I plan to give every truck a printed copy of all SSRs names and cell phones....... My friend Lyn is worried about remembering everyone's names but I assured her that all had SSR name tags !!!

Melinda, Bob, Bert & Sherry - all all of the rest of you too - START YOUR ENGINES !!!!!!!

Oregon Coast Visitors Association an excellent site. We picked up the Mile By Mile Guide last month
We are heading south on Friday so that we are up and ready on Saturday morning!!!!!! Only 3 more sleeps I'm gonna start packing today I think. We just returned our two-way radios as one of the pair did nothing but skwelch on channel 7 (that's the channel the SoCal's use). Costco took them back even though it was almost two years since we bought them They didn't stock anymore so we'll have to look elsewhere.

Well, Bert and Sherry, and Bob and I left Henderson, NV this morning at 5:00am and now 670 miles and 12 hours later we are at Mt. Shasta, CA for the night. Only 420 miles left to go! We will spend the night in Longview tomorrow night and can't wait to meet you guys Saturday morning. Today was a beautiful day for a drive.

Talking Wonderful news !!!

Your SSRs must have flown under the radar to have traveled so far in but a day !!! Do take time to look around Shasta - it is very beautiful with the lake, dam and mountain. I bet the water level is quite low at this time and really showing off the red dirt!!

It's going to be warm and wonderful for your ride tomorrow too !!! I can hardly wait to see you Saturday morning !!!!!!

Be Safe !

Peter and Cindy are settled in for the night at the Best Western in Chehalis, Wash. We had a late start and hit the Seattle rush hour, very slow going for a couple of hours. See you all tomorrow.

Ray and Iris will be packed and rolling by noon tomorrow. Making a few stops along the way, should be in Leavenworth late tomorrow night, south to the Columbia river, across to Seaside Wednesday night, then to Florence sometime Thursday afternoon.

See you all Thursday.

Surprises all over the place !!!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when Mike and Debbie arrived in Seaside to spend some time with all of us !! It was such a thrill to see them join in our SSR parade for a quick tour around the area and then on to Cannon Beach. Our group thinned out as several had to return home, but the compliment to all is that the Oregon SSRs will join us in Florence - along with Ray & Iris - for a few more days of SSR FANTASTIC FUN !!!

Here's another secret....... Gary and Lynn Chapman from Eureka, CA will add to our "International" Oregon Journey - it keeps getting better and better !!

They used to have boats that could take you off the colony to join the rest of the world. Don't they run those anymore?

Dallas Cruise-In and a Movie Under the Stars

Sounds like everyone is having fun on the coast. Unfortunatly I'm very busy in my photo studio and don't time to get away from town until the Dallas Cruise-in and a Movie. I talked to the owner of the drive-in today and he is geared up and excited to see everyone on Saturday. I will be getting there early to set up my sound equipment and raffle for the cruise-in. The gates will open at 4PM. From that point I'll be playing some great music and selling raffle tickets until the movie (American Graffiti) starts at approx. 8PM. Be sure to stop by the DJ booth and say HI. The weather report says that we can expect nice dry weather in the afternoon and evening. Call me if you have any questions at 503-930-8976. See you on Saturday!
