Hello to all SSR Fanatics: May I say thank you To Sandy & Wayne, all the way from Langley,BC. for hosting this very fun day at Griot's Garage and Wally's
fabulous fifties drive-in Lunch and cruise etc!! As always, our meet and greets are fun,as we meet new fanatics and long time ones too!! Well as planned we
all showed up early(9:30AM) at Griot's Garage,so that gave us plenty of time to
meet our new fanatics and long distant traveling fanatic Art,from southern California, weather was in high seventies, just beautiful for a full topless day!!
After we took in the car care presentation by Griot's employee's,we all proceeded to their product showroom, where many purchased all kinds of cool
products from polishing kits to special carrying satchels,to buffing tools,if you haven't gone to Griot's Garage and checked out there web site, they have a complete aray of merchandise relative to most anything to enhancing your garage and
special vehicle! griotsgarge.com. We spent a good two hours there, then we took off on a nice cruise around Lake Tapps, all back roads onto Buckley,Wa.,where we stopped at Wally's fifties style drive-in for a great lunch!
Jack & Sandi Angeline(GONBYBY)lead the way on a perfectly planned route
that allowed us to all park on the opposite side of the street, from Wally's Diner,on the back street, see long row of ssrs. After spending just under an hour there at Wally's,we again started our engines for the last leg of our cruise that ended
in a shopping parking lot in the quaint town of Orting,Wa. We fanned out our ssr's as best we could so that we were able to get a better picture of them
and our Majestic friend for the day,Mt Rainier!!! You will undoubtedly see many more pictures from other fanatics ,and Iam sure, Mt Rainier will bear it's grace
as a beautiful backdrop in the forth coming pictures as well.We had a total of 21
ssr's that showed at Griot's,however, after we finished eating at Wally's,five headed back home, especially our fanatic guests from Oregon. So we finally said our good by's for now, until we gather our iron steeds once again,on June 13th,2009 for Gino & Rose's BBQ & MT Rainier Cruise, that's only two weeks fanatics, normally we have more time between events, but this was best for all
parties hosting and for other's schedules to permit etc. Thanks again fanatics
for making this event a special fun time and a everlasting memory for all of us!!

The Groits guys did a a great job telling us about all the products and demonstrating how to use them was really helpfull.
We hope to be lucky enough to be on the Mt Rainier Run in two weeks.

Griot's Garage tech session got things kicked off and of all the trucks for the Griot's crew to pick in the parking lot, they picked Smitty's too funny.
I even learnt a thing or two at the session and we weren't the only ones to spend a few bucks in the store afterwards our trucks are gonna shine

after there we had a wonderful drive back to the XXX Drive-In for a bite to eat before heading home. In Lynden, just before we hit the border, the Chevy dealership got our attention with their Camaro inventory parked out front for all to see. Wayne saw a yellow one driving south on the I-5 about 30 minutes earlier.
So we're home now and so proud that this all came together so well. A group effort if I ever saw one. Thank you to all for your help and thanks again to all those that came out to join the fun in the sun

Thanks for such a great time with a great bunch of car crazys!
We learned a lot about car care, enjoyed the trip to Wally's (which gave us a chance to meet our daughter and grandson who traveled from Enumclaw to see us) and then headed back to Oregon via a detour thru Olympia to the coast and an overnight stay in Seaside.
Really appreciate the time and effort put into making this happen.

I would also like to Thank Sandy and Wayne for setting this up, It was a great time to be had by all, and also Jack for leading us to our sites on a great drive. The only regret I have is I got a sunburn on my face and eyebrows but because I had a rag protecting my head I have a very noticable white line and it looks funny I am trying to get the sun on the top now to even it up. But really Thanks to all the group who were able to show up because it made for a great outing.

Thank you soooo much Sandy, Wayne, Sue, Jack/Sandy, and to everyone that lead a convoy - wow what a weekend. Peter and I enjoyed every lasting minute of it. What a great group effort! Always nice to see everyone and meet the new Fanatics. I would post pictures but I can't figure it out once again, I did try.

The Northwest gang has proved that the SoCal Nuts are not the only ones who know how to have fun on the West Coast. Great pictures from all. There is one I can't figure out though. Is Art trying to mix his 'tini with that stein of beer? He must have had a few by then!
It was nice that you were able to arrange for Mt. Ranier to put on such a beautiful display for you.

Great pictures! Love the Griot people! They are so nice to work with and what a great product And to think all it takes is a tini to get Art to show up
