pictures of our pacific leg of the trip, Jan 01 - 16
I down loaded the first half of the pictures, so thought I'd put them on the Pacific Forum for your viewing pleasure Purple The Wonder Truck manages to sneak into quite a few
These first three are on Jan 01 in Cresent City, CA and just south of there in The Redwood Forest. Watch out for those big lumberjacks with headless ox's

highway 101, between Oceanside and San Diego was our favorite strip
of course, we ate at the 101 diner
all sorts of nostalgic stops, and a street market where we bought Linda's b-day present.
The military school was at full alert, I think they were graduating.

well that's it for the first half of the trip. From San Diego we headed east on the 8 thru Yuma and onward to Phoenix/Apache Junction. I'll put those pictures on the Southwestern Forum as soon as I load them all (took quite a few at Barrett-Jackson!).

wow!! Thanks for sharing those wonderful shots. We used to live in the Esturay in Los Osos/Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County. In fact, we are are going to display Mary's art in Morro Bay in September.

glad to see y'all enjoyed them shots. I guess I never took any of our stay in Indio/Palm Springs at the begining of the trip. Oh well, just roadrunners and sand
Well I just washed the truck and I'm happy to report it's purple again!! Even with the snow on the ground and the clouds raining on me, I was determined to get that thing shiny again. And I'm glad to say the only paint chip was a small single one on the side of the hood edge. Nothing a little touch-up paint won't fix. What a relief.
