Hello Fanatics: Well, speaking for myself, the Cruz was a great success,I wish to thank all that stuck to their commitments,we had a nice turnout
and the weather was almost perfect for Sunday, little over cast in the morning
6:30AM, moderate temps all day long with sun breaks to make for a comfortable day to enjoy each others company and take in all the surrounding
beauty of the landscape and super nice cars of all types of makes and models
to capture our leer! It is without a doubt the sharing of each others common passion for our ssr's that is truely the main delight of these SSR fanatic events! Although we had last minute cancelations,we still managed to have a
nice group on Saturday for the cruise out to Alderbrook INN! Yes we had one hell of a wet ride out and back,as mother nature pulled a sneaky on us and poured like a cow peeing on a flat rock! You know,we all still enjoyed the ride
and each others company once we arrived at Alderbrook Inn. Bigsmitty kept us in laughter,as we socialized over a delicious lunch(super good food)Alderbrook resort had a huge wedding reception taking place with a gal at the entrance playing an electric harp(never heard one before, very nice)so I asked the gal ,harpist, if I could take her picture, just in case I didn't make it to heaven, she laughed and posed for my camera!

Sunday began at 4:30AM
for many of us, after all of us meeting at the display area at 6:30AM(thank you) we all started to shine our ssr's and make ready for the general public at
10:00AM. A few of us won some door prizes,(my grandson did it again)won
a nascar diecast for his collection, and others won car care kits and relative
automotive products!Sue arrived early,as Dwight coerced her into getting up super early, inorder to be at the Cruz at 6:30AM.Sue,of course came dressed
in one of her pink outfits, along with a pinktified acessorries that filled her cargo bay!
Dwight was a real gentleman, and mixed with everyone, even though we knew he was a
out of state foreigner,no webs between his feet,Pasedena,California, boy you see!

We all enjoyed him.we were happy he was able to recall some nostalgic moments from his Navy days.
Across the bay at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard,a moving observation,at approximately 0900hrs,the Navy Yard Sound System played the national anthem,as I looked around I saw Dwight standing tall as were the rest of us in silence, with our hand over our heart honoring our great nation! We managed to win "best
particpation car club" award, so the guys awarded me the trophy for custodianship for hosting the event, thanks fanatics,I really appreciated the
jesture! Another chapter in history books for the PACNW SSR Fanatics comes to a close in a small town,USA to signify the individual appreciation for our unique
vehicles(SSR's) and more importantly the "FFF" the friendly fanatic forum members that made this and all events a treasure trove of memories and friendships, that shall remain priceless to all that attend! Thanks fanatics for sharing your time with us, in our backyard,Port orchard,Wa. USA.
