Major malfunction between the chair and the keyboard would be my guess.

This should be a really fun get together. Where abouts in Canada is Port Orchard anyways?

Hello Dennis:We talked mainly about events and our SSR's,but did you ever fly any of the aircraft,YF12A,blackbird,etc.? Or are you a aircraft enthusiast, like many on this site,if you haven't already done so,you should check out MikeAZ's post, name this aircraft, very interesting,my dream as a youg lad was to become a Jet Jockey, back then, unfortunetly, you couldn't wear corrective lens, you know the bi-plane era!

We are a bit away, but that sounds good! Appreciate the thought! I was curious what day the Cruz was going to be on so I typed in PO Cruz and the Chamber web site appeared and to my surprise was a crappy picture of our group, hey better than not at all right! Stay tuned for our next event,Sue, I am sure will ring the cow bell to call us together for our next wagon train to adventure here in our beautiful Pacific Northwest SSR Fanatic Group. You know who we haven't heard from in a while, is John Evans?! Last time was Gig Harbor Invasion(or the ) Monsoon of Gig Harbor.I guess I need to PM him!
Take Care Smitty,
Happy trails,Buddy

Hi, Ken

Welcome to the forum. The Northwest group is a great bunch to hook up with.

Not sure what else is happening this spring, but a large group are headed to Penticton for the Beach Cruise in June. Here are a couple links to that information.

http://www.ssrfanatic.com/forum/f28/...-2008-a-21009/

http://www.ssrfanatic.com/forum/f28/...-cruise-21035/

Note that we have less than a month left before our group reservations expire. Hope you can make it.

Hal, I had hoped to make it to Port Orchard last year, but our boat manufacturer dealer meeting was the same weekend. It looks like they will hit a later weekend this year, so we should be able to make it. Looking forward to cruising your stomping grounds..

Sign Iris and I up.

Thumbs up Welcome !!!!

Welcome kr clifton: we have a very enthusiastic bunch of SSR Fanatics here
in our local area ,welcome,it is so much fun to see new members catch the infectious ssr fanatic gathering bug! The first time you see fifteen to twenty-five and more ssr's in a row caravaning together it just does things
to ya I can't explain, you will know what I speak of once you have experienced
your first event. Ray(Flassh) has mentioned our huge Pentiction,Bc event coming up this June 19th -22nd,It truely is fantastic, but really, although our local events are smaller in numbers from Penticton Peach city Beach cruise, they are still
awesome, simply stated, great friends sharing the common passion>>>our SSR's. Stay tuned to the Pacific Region for NW Pacific announcements, usually, from Sue:Wagon Master, call sign(tickledpink) or myself
for coming events relative to our NW ssr group etc.Look forward to meeting
you!

PS: Thanks Ray for covering for us,I was at a homeowners meeting, can't beat em,join em!

Hal,

Just in case rooms get tight, I booked for now at the Comfort Inn. Looks like only 3 choices of hotels show up on the Chamber website.

Let me know if you make other arrangements so I can re-book.

Port Orchard Washington hotels, Comfort Inn hotel near Olympic College Bremerton, Port Orchard WA 98366

Yahoo!!!! Road Trip.

Thumbs up 21st "Port Orchard Annual Waterfront Cruz" AUG.10th

Hello Fanatics: Here is some information regarding lodging in Port orchard and up the road fifteen miles in Gig Harbor. The Comfort inn at P/O is all booked,I would recomend you plan on coming in Saturday and take in the Rock & Roll street dance & festivities. That way you can get a good nite's rest so you can be up early and present between 6:30-7:00AM to insure a waterfront parking spot for all of us!
Hello SSR Fanatics: For those of you that are coming in from a far, here are some
Motel Ph#'s for you if you plan on coming in Saturday, the 09th August,2008!

, Port Orchard Days Inn Ph# 360-895-7818,Gig Harbor, you hit this city or town two minutes after you get off the Tacoma narrows bridge. Port orchard is another twenty minutes further north on hwy#16 Best Western Wesley Inn Ph#253-858-9690. Most of the quotes I got were $107.00 to $149.00 per nite.
They only have a few left,so if you are seriously considering attending this great outdoor
car show on the waterfront here in Port Orchard,Wa.;may I suggest you make reservations asap and upon doing so, please PM or e-mail me direct:
Hal: hbmmaw@msn.com inorder to determine parking local for our SSR's etc!
Thanks,Fanatics!!

Hal,

Is the Port Orchard Comfort Inn (1121 Bay St.) within walking distance from the show?? Iris doesn't do 6:30 AM.

If so, I guess I should keep the reservation.

The comfort Inn is all booked as of this morning, some big wedding that weekend of August the 8th-10th 2008. The comfort Inn is two hundred yards from the show, they close all the streets to vehicle traffic after 7:00AM
so one has to walk into the waterfront park display area.Port Orchard is a quaint little town about a third the size of Penticton, but the scenery is simply beautiful here on puget sound! Iam talking to Ray on the phone as I am writing this thread!

I will call back and speak to the manager, some young guy I spoke to obviously
didn't know what he was doing on the computer?! Sandy&Wayne that is great to hear you guys are coming for the "CRUZ"! You Bc Fanatics are awesome and maybe you can bring some fellow fanatics with you?! You and Ray just made my day!! Granted>>>it doesn't take much!>>>>>>>>>Love ya! Hal

PS: Just spoke to a lady at registration at comfort Inn;she said one room open for the 9th,11 for the 8th(Friday)it seems the 9th is the major booking due to a large wedding and cruz etc. My suggestion is to call around, after all they do get cancellations!

Kevin: Iam glad I sparked enough interest so you checked out our forum! As I mentioned to you yesterday at the Harley-Davidson Dealer, this site has just about any & all info regarding our SSR's and maybe too much info about us crazy car nuts as we reveal our ssr and sport passions! Speaking for myself
anyway, you'll love this site the way you dig your ssr,it's truely ssr land and when you have an opportunity to take in your first event with us you will really get hooked, take my word for it,it's a natural phenomenon!
Kevin, just bought a beautiful new lt blue metalic, gorgeous color, excuse me Kevin,I don't know the model of your new rocket, cruiser, fat rear tire, looks like something from orange county choppers, only Harley-Davidson makes it! I saw
a black ssr out in thr parking lot and asked around, the same salesman that
sold me my Harley was closing the deal at the time. Small world amongst us ssr folks isn't it,like a big magnet that pulls us all together, slowily but surely,
Hey>>please don't call me sherly!,oops,flashback,movie,naked gun,funny,well
enough of that, please let us know fanatics if you want to attend the "P/O CRUZ",this year August 10th 2008, so we can plan the agenda, the numbers will definetly dictate
what and when and where we all congregate etc. Later,Hal
PS:Some fanatics are coming in on Friday and making it a weekend affair!

I pulled off a seabiscuit for the CRUZ>>>>AUG.10th,2008

Hello to all my wonderful SSR Fanatics: I just want to say that miracles are a fact of our lives, and like the great racehorse,if I may use this analogy respectively of course with humility,I am back in the race so to speak with
anticipation for this August 10th's Waterfront CRUZ here in little old Port Orchard,Washington! Just wanted to keep this thread updated and in the forefront of ,especially, our NW SSR Fanatics, holy exhaust smoke,it's only two
months away until Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise, can you believe it?! Well
do so and if you haven't signed up yet, please do so quickly,Fanatics this is a fantastic event you don't want to miss!! "The Port Orchard Cruz " is also fun
and this year if we can get early participation notice from our local SSR group
we can better determine a agenda for this 9th-10th of August weekend etc!

Please PM me (HALSSSR) to let me know your intent to
attend this year! Thank You Fanatics!

Hal, Carol and I would like to attend the Pt. Orchard show but I may be hedding to Astoria, OR, that same weekend. We will be attending the Astoria Regatta with the Daffodil Festival Traveling Float and of course we would be taking our SSR so we can be part of their car show the day before their big parade. If things change I will let you know right away.
