Hal, Carol and I would like to attend the Pt. Orchard show but I may be hedding to Astoria, OR, that same weekend. We will be attending the Astoria Regatta with the Daffodil Festival Traveling Float and of course we would be taking our SSR so we can be part of their car show the day before their big parade. If things change I will let you know right away.

August will be here!This August 10th,2008 is the 21st Annual Port Orchard
Waterfront Cruz! Several fanatics are coming in on Fri & Sat to enjoy all the festivities that are happening on these days,we have a local cruise planned for those who come in a day early, on Sat.the 9th of August.As I mentioned in previous posts;The P/O Cruz is a huge outdoor car show usually showing anywhere from 300-500 speciality,classic cars and trucks from all over the Pacific NW. It's a celebration of our love affair with our cars & trucks. We would like to have all the local ssr's participate in the showing as well!! Registration begins at 7:00AM Sunday morning and we ask that you be there at 6:30AM inorder to secure a beautiful waterfront parking spot for us all.The
town of Port Orchard is closed off to all motorizied traffic execpt for exhibitors,the only way into the downtown is via side walks and roadways ,it's a small town folks,plus,if you come in your ssr,you drive into the display area and start getting your ssr ready for the show,general public
entry is at 10:00AM It's $10.00 to enter your ssr or any vehicle you would like to show etc. Lots of vendors selling cool car stuff,memorabilia and nice prizes being raffled off for all showing entry participants! Last year I won two prizes,nice quality prizes donated by local automotive business's.Also great Rock&Roll Music provided for all to enjoy! So come along and make plans now to join us this weekend of August 10th,2008 for a fantastic car crazy loving time here in Little old Port Orchard,Washington.You may call me at 253-906-2626 or PM to let me know your'e attending this fun event OK!!!!
Mr Murphy is at it again. Just got confirmation that our annual dealer meeting will start Sunday the 10th in Las Vegas.
I guess that puts me out of commission for the Port Orchard run.

He is tall, runs an incredible Garden Railroad in Pasadena, TOTAL FANATIC, and SSR NUTZ like the rest of you - he wears LOTS of Pacific Blue Pins (SMART MAN to wear the SSR pins) all over his tall slim body and is really antsy for his retirement next year so he can go to EVERY SSR Event across the nation - He is excited to see Port Orchard and the beautiful Pacific Northwest where he was stationed in the Navy a few years back !!
As long as he lets me drive, he WILL be in attendance on Sunday, August 10th !!! Otherwise he will be mummified in BLUE Duct Tape and strapped to MY passenger seat !

Say listen my fanatic friends,Just a FYI: We would like you all there between 6:30AM and 7:00AM Sunday morning inorder to secure a waterfront spot,it's first come first serve type of thing,they won't let me reserve the choice areas,so please try to be early so we can all be together,thanks!!The Port Orchard Cruz usually gets between 350 to 500 classic,rods,custom and speciality cars & trucks,so don't forget your cameras and or video recorders etc!! The weather should be sunshine high 70's to mid 80's temperatures so
make sure your'e comfortable,always in the PACNW,be prepared,just in case,bring a warm jacket! Some fanatics are coming in Saturday,so we will do the Rock Around the Block Dance,starts at 6:00PM and goes til 11:00PM
There is a public dock for the boat enthusiasts to take a nice walk and smell the salt water while looking at the majestic olympic Mtns. in the background,truely,a
scenic paradise! For those who are coming in on Saturday,we can determine how many then have dinner together down town Port Orchard.The Port Orchard Cruz is alot of fun and having a smaller group is always cool,cause it gives us a chance to visit more and get to know who in the heck you really are!!!!! Seriously though,everything is very close,restaurants,bathrooms,
bars?,and the display area is half the distance of Penticton,so less walking needed!Lots of vendors offering their wears as well,with raffle drawings going on throughout the event,so keep a close ear to the PA anouncer to hear the numbers called it could be you winning a great prize!!! FYI: There is no pre-registration for the Port Orchard Cruz,you pay at the entrance as you come into the exhibitors area;$10.00 per vehicle,and you recieve a packet,somewhat similar to what we recieved at Penticton,eh!
