Who wants to go to WHISTLER?

I made timeshare arrangements for my neice and her fiance at Club Intrawest in Whistler for April 22 arrival and April 27 departure. This is a two bedroom unit. She has had to cancel due to work constraints. It is too late for me to cancel so it will go to waste. If anyone is interested please PM me for details.

Dwight,

Iris has mentioned a few times she'd like to spend a weekend at Whistler. I'd love to take you up on this, but doing a boat show that weekend, and another the weekend after.

Whistler is trading places with Vail regularly as the #1 North American ski destination. Hopefully someone will be able to get up there.

hmmmm, sounds inviting Dwight. Two bedroom I'll pm DRAGN and see if they're available, we could go together. We wouldn't stay for the whole duration so others could use it for a few days too Oh and of course, I had better run the idea past Wayne

Whatever you can put together makes it better than throwing it away.

If Wayne doesn't want to go he can stay home and work, I don't care.

I know Sandy has an idea, but this is first come first served. Don't want it to go to waste.

and like I said, we won't go up for the whole duration so it is certainly open for others to grap a piece of the pie!

Dwight !!!! I hereby accept your offer !!!!!!

Thanks Dwight for this great opportunity !! I promise to re-pay you when you are here for the Garden Railroad Convention in August and our spectacular Northwest SSR invitation to the Monroe Evergreen Speedway, August 7th !!

My great friend Susan (Susan came to Penticton with me two years ago and really enjoyed the SSR group) will be coming with me ! She is on her way home to Seattle from her other homes in Sun Valley and Surprise, AZ !!

As I told you on the phone, I was pretty much responsible for starting the Helicopter Skiing at Whistler when it opened a bunch of years ago !! My friends and I hired a fellows' private helicopter and a Ski instructor from Whistler to be our guide....... We flew 13 miles down the valley from the ski resort, to a freshly snowed upon, challenging peak called Rainbow. The helicopter would fly first to check for avalanche situations, then our guide and then my group would follow, skiing slopes so steep, snow from our turns fell on top of our heads as we followed the helicopter to our next downhill challenge........ 8 magic hours of incredible powder with the last fabulous NON STOP deep powder run from the tippy top of Whistler Mountain all the way to the Chanticleer Lodge at the base !! (Ah, Youth !!)

I haven't been there for a while, so it will be fun to see the growth with major improvements made for the Olympics too !! This time, I think I will leave my skis at home and do the adventure with my camera !!

Will catch back later, Thanks !!!!!

Miss REALLY TICKLED !!!!!

Jim and I were banned the last time we attempted to ski. Apparently ankle straps were no longer permitted, you had to have something called ski brakes

I'm soooo jealous.... Helicopter Skiing... damn that takes

I am going to wistler from the may 20-25th for this seasons final kick at the can for sking,as our Island mountain MT Washington will be closing on April 24th with over 700 cm or 24 feet of packed powder on its slopes . All you can see of this house now is the roof and 1/2 of the top floor

I have skied on Whistler and after the Olympics i really want to ski the creekside

Its been a real weird winter for snow on the coast , the Island mountains have been covered with record amounts where as the lower mainland mountains were short on snow and some Olympic venues had to be completed with trucked in snow, where as now the snow keeps comming and comming in record amounts
