Regarding Chelan on Friday night:

NEW INFORMATION from Tom & Karen regarding Chelan Friday night:

Best Western Lakeside in Chelan - appears full or a 2 night minimum stay
Campbells Resort in Chelan- said they had only one room remaining but you can try- 509-682-2561

The following are mid level motels in Chelan- in terms of age and quality but they both have rooms available at this time:
Apple Inn Motel 509-682-4044 $60 for a queen,$70 for a king, depending on availablity when you call
Midtowner Motel 509-682-4051 $55 per night one queen bed per room

Possibly some folks will simply drive over to Chelan Saturday AM. Let us know if you will be in Chelan on Friday night as we will plan a "Social Gathering" to prepare us for a HOT RUN with the FANTASTICS on Saturday !!!

If we can keep you here in the north a bit longer, its but a few weeks to Griot's and lunch with a bunch more NW SSRs !!! Why you might want to move into our Pacific Northwest to get out of the sunshine and heat of California!!!

Please let me know when you have registered so I can note that on our FANTASTIC post !

Sue (the assistant)
Sue,

We are also doing Penticton, I would have to move back to Sedro Wooley where I was born, to do all the events up that way.

Did you live on the "INSIDE" or the "OUTSIDE"........

of Sedro Wooley????

Please check your calendar - Chelan to Coulee - May 14-15; Sue's Estate Sale, Bellevue, May 21-22; Griot's Garage and NW FANTASTIC FUN, May 28th -.... and Penticton, June 23-26; Peter & Cindy's BBQ, Sunday June 26th.............

That gives you both a lot of time to sightsee around the NW, Sedro Wolley and the like !!!!!!!!!

We can add more fun if you wish !!! (Gloria - Bellevue has Neiman Marcus !!!)

xxxooo,

Very funny Sue, only a select few would get your "inside"/"outside" reference. I was born in SW but we moved to CA when I was only 4 mos. old. I was too young to be diagnosed. Today, well let's just say I'm glad the "facility" is no longer open when I visit Sedro Woolley.

We are all set! We are leaving Redding on the 12th, spending the night in Bend OR, then heading to Chelan where we will stay at the Apple Inn
Friday nite. Have reservations for the Inn at Moses Lake for Saturday night. We are looking forward to meeting some of the PNW Bunch.

Should have the new Nittos installed in time for our Spring Tour.

Just waiting for new TPMS sensors - the batteries on the original set were supposedly good for 6 - 7 years. It's been 6 years, so might as well start fresh.

Looking forward to running on round tires.

Also looking forward to meeting new Fanatics and renewing acquaintances with the old farts.

Well, old as in been around for a while.

Arrow TWO WEEKS and counting !!!!

May 14 & 15- NCW Geologic Tour and Iron Seat RallyJoin us for a 140 mile tour which starts in Chelan and follows the “other Columbia River Channel” formed during the Great Missoula Flood. The tour starts at 1pm Saturday May 14th at DON MORSE PARK, Lake Chelan and takes us to Grand Coulee Dam. After a break for some sightseeing, we’ll follow the former Columbia River channel past Steam Boat Rock State Park along Banks Lake. Then on to the dramatic Dry Falls State Park where 10,000 to 15,000 years ago, flood waters flowed over a falls 3 times higher than Niagara. From there we travel along the scenic channel to Soap Lake with the not yet completed 60’ lava lamp. We’ll finish around 6 pm in Moses Lake for dinner and dine together at a very nice waterfront seafood restaurant. Because of the length of the tour, you might consider staying Saturday night at Moses Lake near I-90 before your return trip to the Seattle area Sunday morning. You may also consider staying Saturday night at Ellensburg or Wenatchee. Some of the group will return to Chelan Saturday night to complete the trip for a total of 200 miles. Contact Skeet through the SSR Fanatic email system for complete details, maps, driving instructions, motel recommendations and phone numbers. If it is projected to rain that weekend, we will cancel the tour by Wednesday May 11 as this is a top down scenic tour.

There is still room for you to join up and enjoy the SSR FANTASTICS for another adventure........ I think we are all ready to DRIVE and have some good time fun while shaking the winter rust out of our limbs !!

Contact information will be sent regarding contact phone numbers and Friday arrivals for those who can come early. Tom & Karen have dinner reservations for a small group in Chelan !!

More soon !!

Should hit the road in about an hour - do we get to see all the secret engineering and paint projects, or are you driving it with the cover on?

We had the good, the bad, and (at least for me) the ugly.

Light rain mostly, some wind, some sun at the Grand Coulee Dam. Got a bunch of pictures to put up....

Last 100 miles to get home totally sucked in the pouring rain..

Thank you Art & Lucky !!!

We appreciate you coming to join us - in the wild - crazy and not-so-pleasant weather/road conditions, but to be with the great NW SSR FANTASTICS and their commitment to our SSR functions - no matter what the weather is !

For Tom & Karen, I thank you for posting your photos...... they ran the course two times and wrote the Rally TURN-BY-TURN Info as a great team !!

We have started a new "Chelan to Coulee Photo Thread" to impress those who were unable to join the Iron Seat RUN Challenge and get them packed - ready for the next adventure on the table !! (Redding CA is ready to come back and join in our fun - I had NO IDEA they came our way north for just the Coulee Run with NW SSRs - WOW !!!)
