Zia's 2008 - 2nd Annual Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise
Zia's - Thursday night at the Beach Cruise
Zia's is booked for Thursday June 19 2008. We are good to go for cocktails at 6:00 PM, dinner at 7:15
We are going back by popular demand from 2007 Beach Cruise participants. Considering we were a large and somewhat unruly group, the service was amazingly quick and efficient.
Zia's usually limits group size to 50 people. We're at 70 now, and 80 is the absolute max they can handle. Please check the list below to make sure you are confirmed. If you are not on the list and would like to join us, please post on this thread that you will be coming.
Check the menu thread using the link below, and indicate your meal selection by email to raylamothe@telus.net or by posting on the menu thread.
Finding Zia's: Coming from Penticton, stay on the highway through the first traffic light at the top of the hill (McDonalds will be on your left), get in left lane, turn left at the second traffic light (Yup - we're a big city now - 2 lights.) The road will bend to the left. Travel one block or so on Rosedale, look for the white Catholic Church on your right. We have permission to use their parking lot - no door dings, and I have someone watching our SSRs. Zia's is the large stone building across the street from the church.
Head Count - 70 confirmed as of June 5. Please check the list and confirm you are coming, let me know you won't be there, or post you plan to be here so I can add you to the list.

Sue kept saying I should participate in the spedo contest, and I gracefully declined
so my gag gift from her was this pink spedo, everyone that attended Zia's recieved
a funny gift and a story to go along with it! Sue's performance is worth the trip
Fanatics,just hilarious....everyone loved the Zia's event meet & greet!
OK Ray you smoozer you,Toni and I are set up at the Lakeshore Resort for Thurs-Saturday,It's more $$,but worth it...lovely place...$180.00 per nite. FYI. Carol at
PPCBC is in the process of fixing the web page so one can download the registration form. When you mail to them, make sure you use two stamps, unless you take to post office for exact weight, I think it's .64 or .69 cents for postage, otherwise it could get lost in the mail?!
My SSR: Silver with Pink Ghost Flames, Pink Lettering & Flares with PINK Bow Ties on Rims!
I'll have to get a more risque thong for Hal...
You were such a big hit, Hal, yup - the real "Cat's MEOW", and thankfully I do have a full frontal photo of your presentation to the crowd at Zia's......... next year, you will be older, but will you be BOLDER????
Just came back from a great weekend at Woodward. Debbie (Hot Rod Girl) did an awesome job of organizing the weekend, and Ray (Rhobel) had booked the parking lot as a meeting point for SSRs.
Now I'm itching to get some more recruits for Penticton. Several of the Arizona, Nevada and California Fanatics are working on their schedules.

Hi Ray,
Just made our reservations for a 4 night stay at the Lakeshore Resort. We will be there on Thursday, so please add us to the dinner list at Zia's. It will be so nice to meet the fanatics from the Northwest area. I will try to recruit some of our friends from Calif., Arizona, and Nevada. See you in June-2008.

I was working on Art, Linda, Bob and Melinda (BlastfromPast) and a couple others at Woodward. They should be slightly pre-softened.
Adding you to the Zia's list.
Off to Reno Thursday morning, then Lake Tahoe Saturday for our dealer meeting. I'll check in occasionally.

We're really, really, really thinking about making this trip and if we can follow Lloyd's lead, I think it will be a "go", provided Ray isn't one of those at Woodward who thought the mystery guest "Art" was actually artsmart

Nope - recognized Art right away - he pretty much didn't stop grinning for 3 days.
Only problem I ran into was following Art walking Woodward. He's got an overdrive gear I couldn't quite keep up to - except when he found all that 567 stuff.
Oooops - better make sure that info doesn't make it home. Art won't be so lucky.

Zia's 2008
Hi Guys and Gals! I'm pretty sure we already have reservations for the 2008 PCBC and wouldn't want to miss the fun on Thursday. So put Karen and I down as well. Besides, who knows, when Tickled Pink leads us to the duty free store at the border crossing, we may make another great find!! I have an idea- lets start a pool for 2008 to guess who gets the cavity search next year at the crossing??
Just kidding! The crossing went fine for you newby's. Just don't try to bring anything across you shouldn't Made the trip today on business, piece of cake!
Also, you might check out my one day career as a wildlife photojournalist by logging into our local news web page at Chelan- www.golakechelan.com
and scrolling down until you see the wildlife pictures. Be sure to click on the link. I'll submit some photos of the SSR's on our SSR Fall Wine and Valley Tour so you can check that out after the tour!
