He had a smile a mile wide and five minutes after you met him he was your friend for life. I think of him often. I just hope there's good bass fishin' in Heaven for him.

I think of Bobby often..especially when I see his memorial stickers I have on both "R"'s. We conversed often and met at the SSR Homecoming in Lansing in '05. He had that personality that made you feel you been his friend all your life. I know he's in a better place......but sure miss him being with us.

I had hardly known of him, but that didn't stop him from wanting to know what I was doing on my SSR, in fact, he was planning on coming through town just to see how my paint was coming along.
He was a friend to anyone who was opening minded enough to say hello. He will be missed.

The man that bought Bobby's truck reepainted it Pacific Blue and put on a locking gas cover. That's where the "Long Distance Award" came from...... It was donated to us by the new owner of the truck.

He was at Woodward in 2007. I took some pix of his "R" but can't locate them now. Anyone else there at that time who might have taken some?

Interesting.... There is really not enough info in the Log Book that accompanies the Award explaining the WHOLE story behind the Award, that is, unless, it was upgraded since the last time I saw it.

The first post should have a link to the Bob A Long Distance Award.
