LAKELAND - Charles "Chick" Hunt, 67, of Lakeland, died Friday, May 8, 2009 of complications from leukemia. He was born January 13, 1942 in Medford, Massachusetts. He was a Prepress Computing Design Engineer. He came here from Hampstead, New Hampshire six months ago. He was a member of the Super Sport Roadster Club, Amateur Radio Operator, Volunteer Examiner with the Amateur Radio Relay League, and held a Brown Belt in Karate.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Janice Lee Hunt, of Lakeland, FL; son, Devon Hunt, of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Melissa Hunt, of Durham, NH; daughter, Lori Frye, of Palm Bay, FL; granddaughter, Kendall Lee Rose Leighton, of Durham, NH; brother, Paul Hunt, of Malden, MA; sister, Sheila Morris, of Revere, MA.
Location: About as far East as you can go before you hit salt water.

I was truly saddened by the passing of Chick.
I had only met him a few times at the meet & greats and once for lunch with Dan.
No mater how bad he felt he always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude.
Unfortunately I never had the oportunity to meet Jan.

Chick will be misses.
Jan, and family, so glad we were able to meet you and Chick last October in Daytona, Florida. We're blessed because we could meet, talk to, laugh with, eat with, and hug "Chick". He fought a good fight and faced it Head On. So sorry for your loss, but can only remember his smile and positive outlook.
Jan, we will keep you and your family in our daily Prayers. Chick is doing fine now without our help.

Hearing of Chicks passing is sad. I never got to meet him but he was the reason I joined this SSR group. It happened when he moved to Florida and there was a meet and great gathering for him. That's when I decieded to be part of this group. Thanks Chick!!

Just got news of Chick's passing from another thread of HRG's. I remember Chick from the River Run in Laughlin. Very inspirational speaker. Lot of class. My sympathies go to Janice and his family.
