Me too
Seeing her a few weeks back for the tribute to Grymme (driveby his home), giving her a hug and kiss from all us...I never once thought ...how very sad yet how very lovely that they can now join each other once again
I am so happy we had that brief moment with her and that she saw the and how aware she was of the love we had for both of them......my eyes are filled with tears at this moment!

This news really took the wind out of us all! My Grandmother spoke with Aunt Rita on Sunday, as usual. Nothing appeared wrong, and she was in good enough spirits. They had a good laugh about gravity taking it's toll on one's figure as they age, etc. Really, this is all very sudden, as to the best of everyone's knowledge, Rita was quite healty. Healthier than most 73 year olds! My Grandmother has taken this news especially hard since she is the eldest of the 3 sibilings, and currently, is in poor form herself.
With these two great, warm people now gone, I'm affraid the world has become a bit colder of a place...
I'll be sure to keep everyone in the loop as I hear more about planned services, etc. The original plan was to have a service for Uncle Skunkle, Grimmye here on the forum, in October. However, now that Rita, or Teetah as us "kids" called her, has gone to join Skunkle, I'm not sure what will happen.
As some of you may know, Grimmye was prolific in his web presence! He was an avid model ship builder, and got me into the hobby as soon as I was able to hold the tools! I've been busy notifying his other web-friends as well. However, I must say, that based on what I've seen, he was most active here in the later days of his life. I'm sure that as his health declined, this community of SSR fanatics brought him great joy! Fot that solace, I thank you all!
As I mentioned in my previous note when Skunkle died, I have taken to putting pen to paper, and writing about my passion for automobiles. I also promised that I would pass the link along when things got up and running. Well, as promised, here it is...
If you scroll to the very bottom (June 30th), my opening article was a dedication to the late great Skunkle. Also of note: considering this is my first professional/pleasure writing outlet, I received an editors choice award for my article on the C4C program... Let me know what you think. I've already got the SSR as a topic for Rolling Art in a future article as well...
Thank you all, again, for your support and Friendships that you extended to my Aunt and Uncle... I know it meant a great deal to them both. Feel free to contact me directly at any time should you have any questions...

Aaron thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful dedication to "Skunkle" (Greg) . I was totally captured having read just the first paragraph and have even read it twice as you can't help but be drawn in with your vivid description of your time with your Great Uncle and how much he had taught you I love cars but find some articles boring......for the first time I was engrossed and willing to read on and on Very Impressive!!!

Rest in peace
What a shock! It's been less than 2 weeks ago that us Woodward Fanatics pulled into the Grymme neighborhood to pay tribute to him. You knew they were both special people when you saw most of the neighbors on their circle block come out onto their lawns to welcome us that morning. What a sight!
Wow, I don't know what to say. I am sure that heaven and Greg needed her more than we did here on Earth, I am very sorry you are dealing with yet another loss and wish you peace and comfort!

This is so incredibly sad, but such an incredibly beautiful testament to their love at the same time. I will believe that they are together again, happy and healthy. My heart goes out to the family, losing two such lovely people in such a short time. Please accept our sincere condolensces.

I could say it better... I am so sorry for your loss!
I am so sorry about posting in the wrong area. Please accept my apology. My heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones. May the Lord comfort each and every family. God Bless! Redline Dan

Yes thanks HRG for taking the time to represent us Fanatics. So glad that Marty made the suggestion last month at Woodward to drive by their home in memory of Greg ( Grimmye). Little did we know then!

I'm so glad you all did that. Grimmye was one of our biggest cheerleaders when we were building Sinister, Lonnie always wanted to go to Woodward and take him out cruising in Sin. I wish we'd tried harder to get there.
Aaron, we're so very sorry for your family's loss and will be thinking of you all on Saturday.
