I know you are so proud of us for standing tall and strong as we welcomed family and friends to a place you loved so "our home". Once again you've guided me and helped put closure in my heart. You've must have known this would be right...... as peace and tranquilly flow throughout this house. I promise to say "I Love You" everyday...... just as you did for me, every single day. Your memory will live on through me and your children passed down to your grandchildren each and every day. I admire your strength and courage as you fought so very hard to not loose what you loved most in life “your family”. I thank you for the lesson of loving unconditionally including the strength and courage you shown to each of us……. to extend a life you loved. I will love you forever and will meet you in eternity where once again we will love endlessly.

Steve's Memorial yesterday was truly touching .......
150+ people showed to show respect, love and honor to an amazing man! Several were SSR members...... CharleR and Brenda (Rebel's wife).
At 6:00 PM I began a lengthy speech of his illness, his fight, his love and stories of our 28 years of marriage. Pictures filled the large tent area of our Family.....Vacations .....Grandchildren.....His battle with cancer....his children ....Christmas and many more memories with family and friends.
In addition Jessie (his daughter) relayed a wonderful poem that suited Steve perfectly .....shortly after my son spoke. While at times we cried we also made time for laughter (Steve's wish) that were said to the then standing guests facing us.
Two sisters spoke on Steve's behalf one bringing in 56 white balloons to be released to reach Steve in heaven with my grandson and I releasing the first 3 in honor of myself, Jessie and our son Stephen with immediate family next then each additional one after. What a spectacular display as they filled the air and made their way to heaven in Steve's honor.
Amazing Grace was played and our grandson throughout all of this stood by me (as we supported each other) him holding Steve's red rose and a Heritage Harley from Steve's collection and together we held on to each other. My daughter joined us as then the three of us circled each other while listening to the words of this farewell tribute song.
Shortly after 10 of Steve's motorcycle riding friends started their engines warming them till we reached the point in which the exhaust pipes would let of the largest of rumble sounds. They then reved their motors three times in sequins and then dead silence as we faced our home bowed our heads in silent prayer for several moments...................
Broke bread together and once again remembered a man his stamina.....his strength, courage and love.
We all miss him so ..... we did some special things he didn't ask for but know he heard and or saw them all. Tomorrow I leave with my family to Caseville as we continue to celebrate Steve's after life with life long friends by the water, beach campfires, sunrise and sunsets and we remember a man we will always love.
