Thanks again everyone s
I know that time heals all wounds .....but when you've been with someone for 28+ years .....time is of no importance! Today I now understand many versions of the words cry, pain and sorrow. The type of cries I've had hurt so bad and come from deep within. Sometimes I loose my breath from the pain.
While on the surface I appear to be doing well deep inside I have a long road ahead of me. I'm lost without him by my side!!!

Debbie,
Great to see you back again. You have been missed, and good thoughts & prayers have been sent. Thanks for sharing, allow the healing to continue, and let us know if there's anything that we can do.

Hi Deb, it was great to read your post, Sherry just asked me Mon. if the forum had heard from you. Hang in there girl, with God's love you will conquer this terrible pain that you are feeling. Thoughts and prayer are still going your way.

Steve's hospice team calls frequently to see how I'm doing. The calls are becoming lessor now mostly cause Chris can see that I am beginning to set goals and meet them. He's very happy to see the improvement I am making and asked that I consider helping out spouses that aren't doing as well. I told him I would be happy too and told him to pass out my phone number to those whom need it. I just hope they don't call when I'm having a bad day

I love Moody Blue too!
Sure is good to see you posting and the sparkly Boop is back. You were my inspiration for buying my SSR before I even saw one in person. I owe you part of my permagrin, so please know there will be a day when you can wake up smiling again. Keep the photo of Steve by the bed. And as you can, keep the posts coming little sister. Joy and I will see you in the Keys!!!
Debbie: You are a much loved individual here on this freindly Fanatic Forum!
You are an inspiration to all here! You should never feel like a failure, what you have gone thru is ,IMO,the toughest thing a loving spouse could bare!
Whenever we are faced with such huge challenges, accept that we must turn it over to God. It's just too much negative energy for one to absorb.
Sometimes we may get angry at God for not answering our prayers, but know
all is part of a divine plan that each one of us contracts before we are born. We all
have a personel mission to accomplish here and we predetermine when we shall go home. Please know you are an earth angel to your family and your love looks in on you and wants you to be happy knowing he is in spirit and in perfect being, his heart will rejoice seeing you get past his physical loss, but knowing his loving spirit is with you always.Just remember, your smiles and laughter are his tremendous joy! Be happy in his well being and yours. You both are beautiful souls and we all here are honored to know you and we all send our continued love and healing.

Your inspirational words are much appreciated and very much how I feel today ....trying desperately to accept the challenges, never angry at God though (Steve yes ) ...the physical loss plays such hell on the person left behind. I do know that I would hate it if it was him having to deal with the physical pain. No one could have warned me for the aftermath ......it's something I have to go through even though I don't want too. There is no choice! A part of me died with him and a new personality is emerging....hoping for better then ever!

it gets better with time. There will be guilt because you will feel that somehow your having moments that this isn't on your mind is somehow wrong. Believe me, it isn't, it's just nature's way of healing.
Those of us that have been where you are, know where you are. Good to hear from you. wish I were closer, cause i'm pretty good at home repair!
See you in Maggie!
