I've been preparing many crock pot meals.......
If you haven't done so try making a roast in it..... it falls apart and is so delicious!!!!
Ellen had done crock pot meals maybe once or twice since we've been married and she not crazy about it.
When I retire, I think I'll teach myself how to use it so I can surprize her as she still has a couple more years to work before retirement.
Yeah.. I got a beef roast that I just stuck into the freezer before I let it go bad (like I've done before). It can wait until the weekend now, but I'll use my crock pot for that.
For tonight though, I decided on spaghetti and meatballs. Water's just starting to boil now.

You don't even have to thaw out the meat before cooking it in a crock pot. that is always my problem I forget to thaw and then I have to figure out what is for dinner
I'm not even that good of a cook. I learned what I know out of necessity. I'd rather not actually have to do it! Unlike my college roommates, I actually cooked my meals - and not in the microwave (unless it was leftovers)!

The flavor is just wonderful when adding the right ingredients with the type of meat you are using. I like to set it on low and cook slowly all day....there seems to be a difference in the flavor of the dish rather then using the high setting.
I haven't yet had anyone in the family complain about a crock pot dish I"ve made....most of the time they are asking me to make it again.
Give me a holler if you want to experiment I'll send you a few of my favorite recipes
