We're getting either a little drizzle or lite rain here and there. Took wifie out for breakfast and it seem like everybody out today ... are you sure today Friday?

you bet it is ....up from a nap... ready to strir the pot late into the night
Not in Az, either. Get out the leaf blower and "kick it on down the street"...
Not here either.
Besides... burning is such a waste (not to mention the totally unnecessary pollution it creates). I just mulch up the bulk of them with the mower and let the dust compost into the soil. I used to rake and blow them into piles to collect... not anymore.

No... I'm not kidding. I said "unnecessary" because there is no good reason leaves should be burned over mulching/composting. The haze in the air can linger like fog and it stinks, and of course, we have far far more trees up here than you do down there. Had I collected all of the leaves instead of shredding them to dust, the pile would have been as big as my truck. But the real reason it's not legal here is that it's unsafe because of the population/housing/vegetation density. There simply is not enough clear space to have a safe burn pile. One stray spark and next thing you know your house or your neighbors house is on fire.

Well, there might actually be some truth to that.
The farmers around here have burn days where they can burn unused crops and yes, it stinks for days.
