When I lived in Quebec 1954 > 1957 we had snow like the photos of the 1557 Chevy.
The army base used huge twin auger now blowers on the roads.
The sides of the road were hidden behind 6ft+ tall snow banks.

We hat 14" of snow at this time in 2008 here and had to shovel the road for 1/2 a block at the city could not keep up with the main roads at the time.

I live in a seniors mobile home park on a dead end/cul-de-sac road with several neighbors in their 90's the ambulance told us they could no respond unless we shoveled the road.
I had 4 ft tall piles on the edge of my driveway!

Yea I remember back in 1957 the snow was up to my chest. Of course then I was only 5 years old and all of 4 feet tall.

I loved living in Mt Shast. But in 1964 you couldn't see the Town. Thats how much Snow fell. We dug tunnels to get to all the Businesses.

Ya, well I remember walking to school in 3 feet of snow. Barefoot. Up hill - both ways. . .

Peterborough ... they get snow there? My dad is in Bracebridge, where the deer are snowed in, his backyard.
