I received these photos from a buddy of mine.....very interesting concept!
This is built by N2A motors (No Two Alike) Cost $40,000 over cost of new C6 (MSRP $44,000)
Unbelievable! The company (don't know who at the moment) is planning a
production run of about 100 vehicles. Sits on a Corvette C6 chassis, front
styled like a 57 Chevy, side like a 58, rear like a 59. Hence the designation
"789".
Youve kidding, right? Obviously someone with more money than brains will buy this
silly combination. The original Chevy vehicles in the 50s were cool but trying to combine 'em just "doesnt make it" from my viewpoint. If you have that kind of cash burning a hole in ur wallet go find a nice '05 or '06 SSR and enjoy true "retro".
My SSR: Was - 2006 Slingshot Yellow: Final Production Run #23343 Born Feb 21, 2006 (Moved on to a good home)
I wonder if they have flight tested it? With a C6 under the skin and the blunt front and back wings I would be afraid it would take flight at the speed a C6 is capable of.

If I was going to spent that kind of money - I would send my Corvette to California and have it remade to look like the original '53 Corvette. Awesome looking car.
Here's a link to the N2A Motors website. I saw this last week, but did not post about it because I thought the price was out of site. BTW, the turnkey price for the "789" is listed as $135,000 on their website. Thanks, but no thanks. I LOVE MY SSR!
My SSR: "Babe" '06 Pacific Blue/Chrome/6pd #22407, born 10/14/'05, and #21393, died 2/16/'07.
When making model car, after a while we'd get tired of the finished product. So we would tear them apart on a big table top and the term is "kit bashing"- cut them up and piece them together. Several boys just goofing around. Looks like it still is happening on a bigger scale...

A 1953 repro built on Corvette is already available in MI. Designed and built by Steve Pasternak (x-GM Designer) Senior moment, can't think of web site location. Will post when it comes around. grimmye

My SSR: '04 Smokin' #3506: gone but not forgotten, twas lemony.
If you guys like the C5-to-53 conversion, check this one out. I personally think it's the best restyle yet for a C5, a 1962 C1 style. Cost is $68k plus your C5 convertible, though...
The concept/prototype car pictured was offered for sale in February in Atlantic City, NJ. Reserve was 135k, went as high as 125k, no sale. This same car was featured at Barrett Jackson in January.

The 789 is an interesting concept. It is not trying to be original.
But it just screams hop in, lets go tear it up. Just think of the
cool paint combinations it could be. 57 Sierra Gold (copper for you younguns)
front with black back would be just right for me. They could try a 567 too!
Or how about an SSR nose and cab with a Cameo bed?
Read their website, no 2 can be painted alike. IMO Something like this needs the '57 outside mirrors, not the C5 mirrors. It would also be nice if the trim on the rear actually lined up
