Funny, I just spent a couple hours this morning trying to extricate VIN's from my master list to see where the SSR's outside the 48 mainland states are in the world.
This is all I have found for Hawaii, none specific to Kauai although I have no idea where Aiea or Waipahu are.

Hawaii
1GCES14P13B100470 Oahu
1GCES14P23B100610 Oahu
1GCES14P63B102246 Oahu
1GCES14P93B102757 Oahu
1GCES14P64B103754 Oahu
1GCES14P_4B105235 Oahu
1GCES14P54B106922 Oahu
1GCES14P44B107480 Oahu
1GCES14H55B115534 Oahu
1GCES14H_5B118074 Oahu
1GCES14H_5B119206 Oahu
1GCES14H15B121024 Aiea, HI
- FPR’s
1GCES14H26B123642 Oahu
1GCES14H_6B123891 Big Island of Hawaii
1GCES14HX6B124098 Waipahu, HI

I have not perused the Pinmap.

Both are on Oahu.
The Pin Map has even less information than you do.
FYI The place being visited is properly spelled Kauai.

Double-Darn! I knew that but just typed it the way I saw it.

You are welcome. Have a good time. I really love the island of Kauai. It is full of lush greenery and has no freeways. I have been told it rains 500-600 inches per year in the mountains. I believe it.

If you stay near the airport, you can go 35MPH either direction and run out of raod in about an hour. Turn around and come back. There are many side roads that go to secluded and gorgeous beaches and cool little towns, too. On our favorite islnd list, too..

We were there before SSR's were first conceived, so NO SSR's

Beautiful island. THey filmed some of "Gilligan's Island" there.

We went there for a wedding but personally I think the boat tour and snorkeling was one of the better parts of the trip.

If that was your own wedding do not let your wife read your post!

SSRs in Hawaii

My SSR is on the mainland (where I'm flying to today).

Here on Maui there is at least one red and one yellow SSR. I've seen the Red one around Wailuku and the yellow one appears to live in Kihei...

We were told that it was the rainest place on earth, which is both correct and incorrect.

Some areas of India, Columbia and I think Canada have more inches of rain annually, with one place in India getting 72" of rain in ONE DAY!

The place that has the most rainy days per year is Mount Wai-'ale'ale on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. It has up to 350 rainy days annually.

Good thing is they're in the mountains.

I'd get up every morning to watch the sunrise and the dumpster truck would be there. I'd walk down to the parking lot, and the rental car would be clean as can be. I thought there was some early-bird Moke that I had to buff up with a Tip before we left the Island. One morning, I got up earlier than usual and found out it was jus the Early Morning Rain...... That gentle rain came back around 2PM each day, also.

Saw one on Kauai

Saw a red one years ago and I go over to Kauai 10-12 times a year for work. I also seen a posting from a Kauai person that said he fried his chip with the diablo tuner. But haven't met or seen one for years.

Every Island has its own flavor of events. Because Kauai is one of the older island, it has mature greenery. If you would like suggestions on local "grinds" - places to eat or things to do, let me know.

Aloha,
