This is going on in our back yard, Illinois River. Down south of Peoria at Bath, IL there is a Asian Carp tournament in the fall. People show up all dressed up like they are ready to do battle with helmets and chest protectors along with there boats. The winner is the one that has the most amount of Carp in the boat and the other winner is the one that come back with the most wounds from the fish hitting them.

Stop by on the HRPT if you want to fish.

The local paper, pjstar.com, today in the sports page had an article about the flying carp. The carp are jumping and plentifull early in the season. The early weight of the fish are coming in at 20 lbs average.
Come on down, the fishing is only to get better.
