I've always tried to shake the hands of "all" that served our country and some of my best conversations were of stories told about their service. The most important thing we can do is make sure we follow-up after their duty and make sure their work was appreciated. If some politician talks about cutting what they deserved......run'em over with your SSR! (Of course, don't hurt them, just send the message that a pat on the back is the minimum our soldiers deserve).

USAF brat. Dad(s) each served for 20+ years with the step dad doing a tour in Na Trang from 67-68. While I did not serve myself, I lived the life as a child and have more than enough fond memories.
