Avatars...

Avatars…. What’s the story behind yours… Have seen many of then…

My current one is my FAVORITE!!! Because of the story behind it… I think I’ve had 2 or 3 … first one was a picture of my truck in front of the Santa Monica Pier…Second one was the Santa Monica DC3 with my truck in front of it…and then my current avatar… I LOVE this picture… Its from my trip last year to Woodward…

The story behind it… Devastator drove up… said his fan failed.. Marty…said he had an extra fan… Danny said he had tools & before you knew it.. they all were elbow deep in changing the fan. None of them even realized I was taking pictures… it was Fanatics helping Fanatics! From Left to right... the bums... Marty, Danny & Dev... So COOL!!!

So… what’s the story behind your avatar???

I change mine a lot. Usually try to have the truck in it. When members see the truck they know it's me, I don't have to say a word Kinda like when we're at a meet, people see the original R with flaming rally stripes and they know it's turnheadz

I'm partial to that middle butt!!!!

I guess I'm moody because I never know what I will put out there next as my avatar. A lot of times mine is based on seasons or holidays.
I guess I'm in a mood now, I'm about ready to change it again. I need something "fallish" in there.

I do try to change my avatar from time to time, to keep folks on their toes and share a bit of life. Sometimes it'll be a picture of one of the fur babies (can't say four-legged anymore, because we now have a 3-legged one, at least for the time being - although we are considering adopting her). But, for some reason I keep returning to the current one, which is a picture of the Altantic taken from our hotel room on our Cocoa Beach vacation this past February. Stayed at the Inn at Cocoa Beach.

I was wondering if the "Danny" LT referred to was Gina's Danny. Thanks for confirming, Gina.

My avatar goes back to my honey label.

Back in the year 2002, the Homeland Security Director put out a report that we all needed a safe room(during the Anthrax scare). Coincedently, I was also trying to think of an idea for my honey label. I don't know where I was, or how I found it, but I came across this avatar on the internet, and the light went off. Homeland Honey was born.

Incidently, my avatar aparently turned a few lights on for others, and "Duck Soup" was an offspring, thanks to Rebel.

btw, my rubber ducky collection has been growing since 2002 as well.

Betty Boop

Just after buying my my daughter gave me a Betty Boop book marker she said "Mom this will look great in your " and so the theme began including calling the Boopster with floor mats to match, Betty Boop dice hanging from the mirror...a Betty Boop bobble-head on the dash and a rubber decal on the tailgate.

It fits well as Betty Boop was the first female comic of the 1940"s..she's perky, punchy, bubbly and sexy and fits the era of the SSR perfectly.

I enjoy changing out avatars and signatures frequently and like to include the in many of them.

I did not have one Betty Boop item when I started to date I have a curio cabinet filled along with many Betty Boop signs, clothing and dolls

I change mine from time to time. Most of the ones are from runs that I've attended. My current one avatars-dscn0873-1a.jpgwas taken on Road 261 about 45 - 60 minutes before reaching a place called Mexican Hat, Utah as I was heading south to Flagstaff AZ.

Well, I have changed mine several times but like this one, because when people see the red cat they know it's me. I was looking at different ones last night though but I didn't find one I liked.

I love the Alamo and I love my R. Now if they would only let me actually take a picture of my R parked in front of the Alamo, that would be fantastic!

Mine's about a dog eating a sucker. No story there.
I might change it in a couple months.

I change mine regularly, according to my mood. I like to include an element of whimsy when I can...

My favorite avatar of all time on this forum was Focks' cow and dolphin.....
