Barrett - Jackson in Sin City ?

Scottsdale, AZ) -- The owner of the famed Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction is turning his attention to Las Vegas. Craig Jackson with the Arizona-based firm tells the "Arizona Republic" he will launch a new and larger auction in Sin City and scale back his annual event in Scottsdale. Jackson and the city of Scottsdale has been at odds over a new expo center. Jackson says without a new city-financed facility, the car auction's future in Scottsdale is in doubt. The City of Scottsdale has already invested millions of dollars for improvements at the current facility to accommodate Barrett-Jackson's annual auction, which generates nearly 94-million-dollars for the local economy.<


This looks interesting, I think this could be a winner as there are so many different venues already that could handle this size of operation and if not Vegas will just build another facility to accommodate the money err I mean the customers.

Seriously, now that this auction has grown to this proportion, Vegas is housing more Millionaires every year, that this looks promising.

VERY interesting, Highrider!

I have been "drooling" at the Barrett-Jackson Shows in Scottsdale for many years and Craig Jackson has been threatening to move them as long as I can remember. Maybe this time is for real.

The shows are fantastic and I hate the thought of having to travel to attend but I do believe a better facility is in order, especially when it rains which happens frequently during January.
