Where are they going to be? Phoenix is big. We could go to Texaz Grill that IBDave likes, Garcia's isn't to far from I-17 if mexican food is your poison, T-Bone Steak House on South Mountain has a great view, Roadrunner at I-17 and New River, or if you want pie...what's it called, Rock Springs? Glenda brought pies from the place..Heart Attack Grill...uh, there's also Joe's Crab Shack right at 60 & I-10...or Knocknead Lobster (hole in the wall fish and chips) over by the airport kinda....

Give us a clue as to where geographically you want to meet. As Thumper says, its a big place. Near airport?, east valley? Wild Horse Pass in south valley?????? I'm sure with our collective great intellect we can certainly find a fitting dive to meet that specializes in pork and pork byproducts.

Since they will be departing PHX Sky Harbor Airport . . . someplace in that general area.

SORRY . . . that's what I get for assuming stuff.

I have never been there, but it's listed on "Diners,Drinve-ins and Dives" with good reviews
Los Taquitos
4747 E. Elliot
Phoenix
480/753-4361

within 16 minutes and 11.5 miles of Sky Harbor Airport, just west off Interstate 10, south of airport

Thanks, Dan . . . sounds good to me.

I thought about The Heart Attack Grill but their set-up doesn't accommodate groups very well.

Are you guys attending the affair?

Chino Bandino. It's ok. Different. Not really chinese and not really mexican. You'd have to try it. Guy Fierro was there a while back. It's along the line of ordering a fast food hamburger...they do have a part to sit in. On special days you can get Snickerdoodle or Volcano cookies. You make out what you want on their order form and turn it in. Then wait...which sometimes can be a while.

That's It !! I'll have to try it Solo a couple of times, or get some To-Go.

Been a bit leary about trying Sushi in Phoenix, tho....
Maybe turned into Bait by the time I get there....

There's a good sushi place on Bell and 59th(?) or 67th? That's the only one I would recommend. My daughter loves sushi. Doug won't touch bait.

Chino Bandino, you'll leave wondering what that stuff was that you just et. The most disappointing place yet from DD&Dives, in my opinion.

I'll make it, but will probably be around 12:30.

Regardless of what you eat ... just be sure you're seated in the back of the plane.
