Cell phone # block call

I received as an Email today. If this is a fact...go for it:

Reminder: Cell Phone Numbers Go Public today. All cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies tomorrow and you will start to receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS. To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number. HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS. It takes about 20 seconds or you can go to www.donotcall.gov

I have heard Political and Charity Calls are exempt from the Do Not Call list.

Could that be possible?

I have heard that this is true, especailly from John McCain, who keeps pestering me every night this past week!!!

I also know that the FOP say they get to keep calling because they're a charity too.......

I took the advice and added my cell # just now. Wonder why you have to key in the number?

Thanks XSELER8

Do it online and get a record of the registration. If you do it once it's permanent.
