Sent mine in about 2 months ago. The read up keeps changing about this. The more people that file the less each person receives. There is $300,000,000 set aside for this class action suit. $22,500,000 for the direct purchasers (Jewelers) and $272,500,000 for the Indirect Purchaser (you and me) that purchased diamonds of any kind (rings, loose, watches, ear rings, etc) original estimates were you would get back $0.25 to $0.30 on the dollar you spend on diamonds purchased between January 1, 1994 and March 31, 2006. There were billions not millions of diamonds sold between that time line. So now with the number of claims filed you would be lucky to get back $0.02 on the dollar. I put in a claim and had to send proof of purchase and appraisals for any one item over $10,000. You can file your claim on line and follow up via certified mail with your proof of claim. I am hoping for the $0.25 on the dollar. DeBeers being the largest diamond importer tried to control the diamond market during this time period and overpriced the diamonds. I will keep you posted what I get back.
