Yes. It will show when you confirm the bid. Don't bid till the item is about to end though... you can prevent it going too high sometimes if you wait. I usually bid with 30 seconds to go and enter my highest bid then. If someone else bids then it's too late for you to bid again, but I bid as high as I'm willing to pay. That helps you from getting caught up in the moment and bidding more than youwanted to pay.

When on Ebay, go to the top of page to the "tip & advice" and click on there and on the left you will see instructions to "how to buy" for a fast tutorial. Have fun!

Talking eBay tip from an eBay Powerseller

If you really want to get some good results placing bids on eBay use Auction Sniper to do your bidding for you. You can place your bid days in advance and just let it do the bidding for you. I usually set mine to 5 seconds before the end of the auction. I bid to the amount I'm willing to pay and maybe add a few dollars. eBay's automatic proxy bidder will just move you to the top of the bidders up to your highest bid amount. So, you won't pay the highest amount you bid unless it's needed to keep you on top.

I've been an eBayer for a lot of years. That's the way I win auctions. Don't show any interest in the item and let the sniper win it for you.

That's good for the eBay buyer... not for the seller. So you didn't hear that from me!

So what happens when you and another Auction Sniper user are both bidding on the same item? Highest bid wins, I guess. You just put it in (to eBay) late like the other user and hope...

The earlier higher bidder wins. But, you can't bid against a bid sniper. If the guy doing the sniping has bid high enough to win it. Any bidding more than a few seconds ahead of the close of the auction usually just causes the price to go up.

I use "Phantom Bidder" which is another automatic bidding site. It has always worked great for me. Just put in your maximum bid and forget it. They will bid for you 3 to 10 seconds before the end of the auction. If someone outbids you before the end of the auction, they will send you an email letting you know so you can up your bid if you want.
Only costs .50 per bid if you win the item. If you don't win there's no charge.

That's pretty much the same thing as AuctionSniper does. Only they are about 25 cents. They also give you three free winning snipes just to try them out.
