My SSR: Black - 2003 VIN# 3053 - Custom Paint by John Hardin
First web page
I took a class today in Web Page Authoring. Pretty interesting - only using Windows Notepad as the build tool in order to learn the underlying tag codes. Anyway, after three hours in class and another 3 in the lab - here's what I did - using a fictitious Hot Rod web page and one of my favorite subjects.
My SSR: '05 Concept Truck, powered by Heavy Duty rubberbands, and a really BIG WINDUP KEY!
HAH You did a better job then I did after I took a class in it. I am the type that someone needs to explin it to me, then show me. then let me fo it while they are staning there (correcting any mistakes I might might make) Let me try a few more things, then when it looks like I have it under control take off.
Ok, I suck at it.

The pics are a bit goofy in size on the second page, but I didn't have a graphics package on the lab computer to reduce them.
The page will disappear in about two weeks. They clean them out before the next class.
Congratulations, Houtex. I enjoyed your work. Keep it up. I think computer work gets better every time you touch a key. Nice color, nice content not allot of useless FLUFF.

Once you get your feet wet and want to move on to bigger and better things I'd highly recommend the CoffeeCup HTML Editor. Not only can you work directly with HTML coding (the way I've always done it) but you also have the option of a Visual Editor.
I still do it the old fashioned way - the same way I've been doing it since 1994. I use "vi" on my unix host and do all the tagging manually. Of course my stuff looks rather bland.

Thanks for all the kind words. I take the advanced class in a couple of weeks. Then maybe I'll get my feet wet. I thought that learning the underlying tag work before using the page builder sites would be helpful. I learned DOS macros and lots of DOS language before I ever saw Windows and that helped. Sort of the same thing.

You mentioned taking a class. Where is this class? Do you mind sharing this information?
