It's looking like there will be some serious monsoons here in Phoenix in the next few hours.....flash floods are a way of life here during monsoon season.

Hope those in the Victorville area stay dry.

We live smack-dab in the middle between Barstow and Victorville and I have to come on here to hear about flash floods

Humid, yes. Hot, hell yes. Rain falling from the sky? Not yet...but the sky is getting darker. Was going to go out and water the flower pots, think I'll wait a while.

We're used to flash floods as well. Needles had them bad when I was growing up and old 66 between Barstow and Victorville often runs deep. So far we are safe, sound, and dry.

Just drove home in the mess. Wasn't raining "that" much, but the dust storm in front of it was thick, and there were quite a few tumble weeds gumming up traffic as well. 202 between 101 and Greenfield Tempe/Mesa border.

Same here...however, since its monsoon season it'll probably cloud up again this afternoon. All we seem to get out of this is hot and humid...same as you

We had a lot of flooding here this morning. Had between 2 and 3 inches of rain from midnight to 6 AM. Lots of roads were impassable and had to be closed. They even had to close the Dulles Toll Road (major highway from the beltway to the airport)!

I only ran into 2 places where water was getting deep. It's still wet out there, but at least it's not pouring at the moment.
