G.m. Recall

Detroit news tonight says there is a recall on Chevy Sonic’s.

Recalling bout 5000 units to check for missing parts.

There are some on the road with inner or outer brake pads missing.

Someone needs to be fired.

Well, we should because it affects GM's overall health and future. I don't care so much because it's just one more nail in the coffin of North American manufacturing since it's made overseas.

Here is a snipit from the story.

"GM is recalling 4,296 U.S.-market Chevy Sonic models—all assembled at the automaker’s Orion Township, Michigan plant, for a possible assembly issue that leaves the subcompact lacking either an inner or outer front disc brake pad.

According to General Motors, a rental Chevrolet Sonic was brought into a dealership in late November for brake noise, and found to be missing a pad during warranty service. While this sounds hard to believe, given that vehicles receive test-drives after assembly, those who brake lightly might not notice that anything is wrong right away. The issue would cause much longer stopping distances during emergency braking or harder brake application, however."

You'll never know "LEAK OIL" until you own a Jeep CJ-7.

OH... .I'm sure my El Camino could challenge that. It's got both engine and transmission leaks. Enough so that I keep absorbent mats under it when parked in the garage.

I didn't know Harley Davidson made El Caminos.
It's just marking its spot.

If that's the case?

Then My blazer is the biggest dog in the area.

Leaves a quart of trans fluid where ever it gets parked and sprays what ever is behind me going down the road.

Well at least it did.

Just got a call from the tranny shop. It's done. No more leaks.
