glad it wasnt me

So, I work at a large transit bus system . we rebuild our own engines trans and other related parts along with regular maintenance of them. we have this guy who knows every thing.you cant tell him anything his reaction is if you tell him thats not the way we do it here he then says that just because you guys do it that way doent make it the right way ....his head is as hard as concrete (six sack I think) so now he has had 4 engines come back all under 5,ooo miles seems as if he was putting interior engine components in a shot peen blaster and not cleaning out the shot peen materials after even after the foreman told him multiple times to not do this. so now th bosses budget is ruined by about 400,000 dollars or so. so what does he say ....oh well it wasnt my fault.. he's outta work now on suspesion till further notice . forman says he doesnt know how long they are gonna keep him out but the boss is MAD. RIGHT WHEN WE ARE KNEE DEEP IN CONTRACT TALKS TOO

I think we have all had to deal with this type.
I would say to this type of guy, hey joe blow didn't you say we should do this to accomplish this task.
Of course he didn't say that but 99.% of the time he would say yes, go ahead and do it.
Thats how I got around the Stupid Idiots.

Just what I tell the grand kids... When you're mouth is OPEN, your ears can't hear. Anything that starts with 'yeah but'... is just another excuse coming out....

This is one of those things I don't believe in. If he's the direct cause of these failures - fire him! Union be dammed. What if his negligence wasn't just an engine failure and was brake system failure and got someone injured or killed? There's no excuse to allow that to continue.

I AGREE AS I HAD TO FIRE A IDIOT AT WORK AND WE WERE UNION. I HAD ALL MY LITTLE DUCK'S IN A ROW AND ALL THE PROBLEM'S HE CAUSED. WE HAD A MEETING WITH THE SHOP FORMAN AND 2 UNION REPS. AFTER HE TOLD HES STORY I TOLD MINE WITH ALL THE DOCUMENTATIONS . HE WAS LET GO THAT DAY. IT ONLY TOOK 2 WEEKS FOR THE UNION TO GET TOGETHER FOR THE MEETING.
