GM Health Care

I got my Invitation to the:
Salaried Retiree Health Care Meeting
Pontiac Centerpoint Campus - Central Building
Cliff Vaughn Conference Room
2000 Centerpoint Parkway
Pontiac, MI 48341
I went out there today to be sure I can find the place and WHAT A DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man nothing is marked, weeds are over growing the buildings, concrete walkways are all cracking and falling apart making for dangerous walking. I mean the place looks worse than or the Inner City of Detroit, and/or IRAQ. There were about 15-20 worker's cars parked in the lot near each of the six entrances (which aren't labeled and require an ID card to slide thru the coded reciever)
No way can I park in that lot and walk that far just to get to the building and inside the building it is a long walk to the conference room, according to a person we found in the parking lot. This person was not very sure what building they were talking about on the invite as every thing is color coded and the invite doesn't say which color.
I can't belive this Company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No wonder they are going out of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm faithfull GM person but who ever is riunning the show should be fired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frustrated Retiree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live 2.2 mi from the GM Technical Center, but this place is 28.76 mi from the Tech Ctr. What with all the retirees still living in a 15mi radius of the Tech Ctr. you would think they could have the meeting in this area. Every retiree didn't move to FL or AZ or NC or NM, etc.

I know you Fanatics that aren't GM retirees don't care about my benefit problems but I just wanted to vent my spleen. I have been wondering why it took Management so long to do this. Should have done it sonner. I have always felt guilty with my GM Benefits because my family growing up never had anything like that and I spent 16 yrs in job shops designing cars so before GM offered me a job I always carried my own insurances. I did my own savings not wanting to depend on the GM retirement because I know it could disapear.

Well, tonite is wine night so I leaving reight now to go get some wine. See you all later.
