The SASS Wire (Single Action Shooting Society) is one of them. They strictly and strongly enforce these things because it had gotten out of hand in the past.
But, I think the SSRFanatic Forum is one big gathering of some pretty good guys and gals for the most part.
I've been out polishing and shining the SSR for a car show tomorrow. It's just about time for a in my neck of the woods.

What this is all about....
After reading all of this schizophrenia ( I can't spell very well), I just wanted to say this.
I have had my SSR for almost two years and 21K miles, I just hopped in it a took a little spin to the grocery store and came back just as jazzed as the first time I drove it. I love my SSR and am thankful that GM ( however flawed they are) took the chance to build it. There is not another vehicle on the road that compares, I am lucky to have one and fortunate to have met some great friends on this forum. Life is too short to get angry with people you don't know on a keyboard.

The wonderful world of SSR ownership
My SSR just turned over 10,000 miles, and it is in the shop having it's wiring replaced so the top can go down again. I rolled my first SSR, and bought another because I hadn't had enough SSR yet. I'm going for 100,000 miles!
I have plenty of other cars to drive, but right now I choose to plant my butt daily in my Babe. I'm having a hell of a lot of fun, and I have this forum to thank for it.
You have to be a character to drive a SSR. "Outside the box". "Outsane". I'm in because I am an "out".
I'd like to see some tolerance amongst us all. Several times I have had my ass chewed by well meaning members who are clueless as to my knowledge and experience. I've been told to go drive a sport car, which I have several of. I always wonder why flea bites bother soooooo much, but they do.
My two favorite Mikes are from Maui and Arizona, because they are dedicated to making owning a SSR a better experience than my dealing with just my dealership. Yup, they couldn't be more different online, but they are GOLD. And I have yet to meet a SSR owner in person who has been rude to me. In fact, Mike in AZ is the nicest person I've met in years.
We all have opinions. My father, who was my Scout Master, and I, have no tolerance for the current gay bashing from the Boy Scouts of America, but Mike in AZ posting of the Scouts Motto and Oath made me proud! As I recall, Scouting used to be about good citizenship and fellowship. I only wish my sons were currently involved...
All said, other than occasionally wanting to muzzling a certain owner of a silver SSR, this site ROCKS. Avatars and all. Just be nicer and more tolerant.
I love my SSR, and therefore, love all of you who do too. We are family.
My SSR: Smokin' Asphalt w/Black Running Boards. The "Batmobile"
Perhaps now that everyone has chimed in on the topic, we can finally put this miserable issue to rest. I hope everyone learned something from this experience.
Maui Mike gave me the most positve support when I was shopping for my SSR (and still does).
Mike from AZ. If you dealt with him..you know him. If you never dealt with him and need him - do so with no worries. More business' should take customer service lessons from Mike. His products and sincerity are A+. He's a real asset to the automotive(SSR) community.
And special thanks to Alex05ssr. A big contributor to the SSR forum. A knowledgeable and sharing person.

Online/Offline personalities
I justed wanted to post something about personalities of people online vs. offline.
I sometimes did a little sparring with boosted online and I'll admit wasn't sure how I would react to him at Maggie Valley, but while at Maggie Valley I found out he's a great guy. Now afterwards, I still do a little sparring with him online (I'm hoping to convert him to a happy clique member ) I think he could (and has) contribute a lot here.
So my point here is that sometimes (for whatever reasons) what people post here can seem a little abrasive or offending, but the people themselves aren't.

I have always wondered how people viewed me on here. I mean to be helpful and positive and give what I can. But how is it read on the other end I do not know. I think I have been accused of being in the click because I post so much. But is that a bad thing, we all should be in the SSR click.
There have been two that I read as being nasty and think they would be nasty in person, but they have seamed to have left the site in this last week.

You're ok with me man. I got off to a rough start on one of my first threads. But it straightened itself out. I appreciated your PM the following month. Thanks, Frank

You have been everything a member should be. On that first post I thought I seen another Ricochet coming, but I was wrong. Way wrong, and I apologise again. I wish you could see how close everyone was two years ago. All good helpful posts all pulling together, for good of all.
For everyone's info. I started a thread "exhaust systems" and misunderstood some of the replies. I immediately got into a push & shove kind of mode. I take responsibility for it turning sour...but it worked out just fine. I learned from it. And thank you Flassh for helping to de-escalate things. Happy to be a member here. It's fun & informative.

Well said Buffy, I have not been on the sight very much for the last 6 weeks because it has been crazy at home in the evenings ( with wife the school teacher and my girls starting back to school) but I had noticed a change in the tone of alot of the posts on here. I am not a big poster but I do enjoy reading nearly everything on here, I have learned alot of knowledge about my SSR and other things. My wife and I were at WDC in 2005 and enjoyed meeting everyone there, we hated not being able to make it this year. My SSR has been a joy to own with sofar no problems, I think we should all feel lucky to own one of these great trucks and not have something we see anotherone just like us everytime we drive down the road. My cousin has a Mustang GT conv '05 that leaks like a paper bag everytime he drives in the rain, my uncles 2004 BMW coupe has road a rollback 8 times in 20,000 miles-so noone is perfect.
